What knife did you get today?

Very nice !

I’ve been playing with it since yesterday evening. Examining it with a loupe, comparing it to other knives I have… Closest one in size and weight is a SOG Vulcan Tanto VL-03. I paid $90 for the Vulcan brand new about 9 years ago. I actually paid just a little less for the Wanderer. I’m very pleased with it.

The original release included a camo nylon mesh bag, but mine included a black one. I’m glad as I prefer this.

The Wanderer handles look really comfortable . I find that clean smooth look quite appealing.

Tim Steingass continues to put out great stuff, and the last one he did for me is no exception....highly recommended:

Nicely done damascus style blade. Burlap micarta really completes the look. Nice choice!

Yes, it is very comfortable. And while the scales are smooth, there’s a matte finish that provides grip. Feels great in the hand. I also like the symmetry. If you look at the knife closed on the money side (opposite clip), you can see how the blade contour fills out a mirror contour of the scales.

I’m very pleased with Civivi.
Well made, clean and cut nice.

Very nice.

Eafengrow EF26. Currently 21.99 on Amazon.

I added some GITD epoxy mix in the handle slots on each side.

It’s a little on the big side, but I like it overall. 2 things I would change would be having more than 1 bolt for the clip, and a more pronounced thumb grip on the liner lock.

I have to say I’ve been eyeing the Praxis and Elementum in “Damascus-style” steel. The ones with tarnished brass scales look amazing too.

Seriously nice, if that’s real wood burl for scales!

Some very nice knives, congrats gentlemen :+1:

Me, I wanted a dirt-cheap barlow for light EDC tasks, so I got this :innocent:

Low blade steel grade of course, but quite good construction for the price

I said I wasn’t getting anymore vintage knives cause I don’t want to ruin them by using, but I couldn’t resist this Schrade 206 Grand Dads Barlow ! I think it’s beautiful.

Today I got a Finch Runtly .

Today I got a TunaFire D2 flipper. Amazon Link

I wanted a D2 flipper that was 3”. From where the blade starts, to the tip, it’s almost exactly 80mm, just barely over 3 inches, so fits the bill nicely.

My main suggestion for TunaFire would be to remove the “TunaFire” lettering from the blade, they would probably sell more of these. Maybe have just a “TF” at most. Even a picture of a little tuna fish on fire would be better.

Overall though, for $22.99 plus tax, I’m pretty satisfied.

Vintage Western Boot Knife

Tunafire lmao, where do they come up with these names?

Nice looking knife though.

First there was Surefire. Then there was Trustfire. Then Ultrafire. And a few others I can’t remember. I guess the success of Surefire has them obsessed with the “fire” suffix, but Tuna? Now a fish prefix? I mean, c’mon… “Sharkfire” I can understand. But “Tunafire” is so close to “Tunafish”. :person_facepalming:

Anyway, nice clean looking knife. I like the simplicity and a lot of well thought-out points (hollow drop-point grind, ceramic bearings, D2 steel, useful spine jimping, nearly 100% liner lockup, under 3oz, Micarta scales, well placed lanyard hole, deep carry clip). On the AliExpress site it’s for sale, but only $2 cheaper with a 2 month shipping time. Much better to order from Amazon. Would be interesting to see a tear down.

It ticked a lot of different boxes for me which are basically what you listed. I’m happy with it. Ended up with a few more knives in the process of finding this one. The more, the merrier.

Edit: Just did a teardown, here’s a picture:

Also, it appears you can get it without the “TUNAFIRE” logo on the blade. User reviews on AliExpress say it arrived without the inscription as the pictures show on the listing.

Another similar knife by the same maker

Got this old Camillus Marlin Spike

Thanks! Great to see that. Nice that the liner is full length both sides. Now I’m really tempted. :money_mouth_face:

I found 6 rare Lone Wolf (pre-Benchmade) Dual Action Autos new and still in the factory boxes in my bottom dresser drawer, along with a Leatherman Charge in some kind of presentation case that has all the crap you’d want plus a Leatherman knife. Pretty bizarre and pretty special. And another Lone Wolf which has some stunning walnut wood handles on it…but that one is not a DA.
