I’ve actually got a real use case for it. I really enjoy stargazing with friends. Until now I used a laser to pint out stars, but lasers have two problems for me.
1. They really are very unsafe to use without proper eye protection.
2. I usually have to make sure that there are no aircraft flying in the same direction as where I point the laser.
Hopefully an LEP will solve both problems.
Don’t get me wrong, I bought it mostly for fun. However, it will also serve a real purpose.
order placed, got Astrolux Upgraded A02 SST20 as a gift
Any recommendation for diffuser that can be open? I heard that the diffuser for the Weltool W4 will fit it with an o'ring, but is there something better for it, that will just fit?
it's still there, just go to the store by the link you get from FREEME (or just to banggood :D ), and there will be a gift astrolux A02 (you can chose color, and led)
if you bought one already, you just have to buy second one, to get the gift :D
got it 2 days ago.
The PWM is so visible on low and high, thankfully on Turbo there's no visible PWM.
The parasitic drain is about 20µA-10µA jumping to around 100µA every couple seconds.
I'm getting 4.6A to 4.5A on turbo.
For build quality, the front bevel is sharp, the threads on tube from head aren't anodized, the tail one are.
The astrolux 21700 li-ion fit just right in the 26650 adapter, you can't use any thicker 21700 with it.
The A02 is crap, the threads are normal triangular, are horrible (hard to asamble), the button to. and it's not much brighter than Skilhunt E3A, and have narrower hotspot. But it's almost twice it size.
The 21700 astrolux li-ion discharged on 1A on Opus BT-C3100 v2.2 did 4383mAh
And well there's some staining on the 21700 astrolux li-ion, do I polish it?
