Help me pick out my new lightsaber

Hi guys! This is my first post. To simplify things, here is a picture of my collection.

Olight i3 with a 10440. I like that it’s featherlight and small with a lot of light. I carry it the most.

Olight S1 - Small, fits inside the watch pocket, a lot of light. Versatile.

Olight i5R - I would never buy this one but that’s why it’s fun to use. Thanks Olight

Klaus XT10 - My first light. I like the beam pattern, that I can use it as an impact weapon, dual switches with momentary on and instant strobe

I always wanted a Tiny Monster flashlight with a ton of light but I didn’t want to spend that much money on a flashlight that I’ll barely use.

I saw the EMISAR D4V2 and I feel in love because I wanted a light with RGB/auxiliary lights, illuminated button and a ton of light. Then I saw the D4SV2. When I saw the DT8 I started heavy breathing like one of those fat cats in cat memes.

Do you think this would be a good buy? I don’t even know what configuration I would want. Probably some hillbilly version with max brightness without consideration for CRI or color temperature.
Does the turbo even last ten seconds?

Do you have any other suggestions?
Sofirn Q8 Pro maybe? I know it’s a completely different flashlight.

Or should I save the money, get a Wurkkos TS21? I’m not a fan but I’ve read good things about it.

Thanks!

Light saber? K75

Lightsaber = LEP.

Lumintop antman or one of the thors

Haikelite HK07 is so much better than Q8 Pro, even than MF01S. But it has no aux.
Or if you want literally lightsaber, take some LEP, e.g. Astrolux WP3.

Thanks for stopping by, Westie!

Those are throwers and I don’t want a thrower.
Obviously I’m not familiar with the terminology. Is a lightsaber a thrower flashlight?
As far as I’m concerned it’s used as a slang for a very bright flashlight in a somewhat compact package. Correct me of I’m wrong.

Thanks, I’ll check them out.

Yep, you're wrong.

A lightsaber flashlight is a thrower.

You're looking for a "pocket rocket."

“very bright flashlight in a somewhat compact package” - check Astrolux EA01S then

If it's not too big for you, check out the Acebeam E70 AL.

It's my EDC, and my EDC is my most important flashlight in my book.

All those Instagram hashtags were wrong lol.

I’m sorry. In that case I’m looking for a pocket rocket. Although that sounds like a sex toy.

I’ve seen most of the lights you recommend but I usually watch or read reviews out of curiosity and I’m not paying full attention because until now I didn’t think about getting one.
Today’s 11.11. saleand it seems I should have done my research sooner.

Yeah, a pocket rocket is usually something sexual, but in the world of flashlights, it refers to a compact but very bright flashlight.

FW3A

you won;t like the short battery life of anything but 18650 cells

though i do also have some 1xAAA lights, they are not for long battery life, or lots of lumens for long

You want a pocket rocket, theres a Thrunite Catapult Mini 15% off in the Amazon thread… (make sure to click the 15% off box)

he mentioned not wanting a ‘thrower’ i think

fortunately this also keeps the light;s head from having to be too big to put in a pocket

eh, I figured it was so small It’d still fit the bill, oh well :stuck_out_tongue:

Lumintop FW21 PRO was in mycrosshairs for a while.

There was too many research to be done so I didn’t buy any of those lol.

I got the Wurkkos TS21for $35. Doesn’t seem like a phenomenal price but that’s with free shipping, EU tax and a short tube.

I’ll see how I will like it. The deal was too good to be passed. I still plan to buy a higher output flashlight.

I chose the 6500k model. Would that be the brightest one? I would like to try a high CRI flashlight but with this one I wanted a max output.
Or is the 5500k the brightest one, given the same LED?

Yes, you’re right, it’s 5000k. My bad.

I could be wrong but if I remember correctly I’ve read that somewhere that the 4000k version has 1000 lumens less on turbo but a warmer color and higher CRI.

Somewhere I read that you shouldn’t get the 5000 k version because of the green tint, other places I read that the 6500 k version is the one to avoid so I’m still not sure which one would be better. I guess I could still change my order if the 6500 k version is that bad.

Someone measured it but who knows, maybe the specs were overrated as they usually are.

I should have gotten both versions to see the difference. That way I would know for the future.

I’ll probably use a Samsung 40t cell or whatever high drain cell I can find locally which should bump the output compared to the Wurkkos rebranded cell.

Great…
