Does the Lumintop HL3A have a firefly low?
If so, that would be a great choice.
Looking for a dimmer dial or rotary twisty dial not a button to hold.
If you look at the late 1980s cars and trucks the wingnut car manufs put buttons on everything from the radio to the temp, the fans, etc. They soon learned that buttons were a HUGE mistake! They are SLOW, take your eye off the road, not liked by the masses. Slowly they went back to dials for temp, volume, tuning etc. Dials are quicker!
I want a dial not a button to hold or double, triple, quadruple click for some unknown function.
Do you have any flashlights with Anduril?
They're really nice and most people absolutely love the ramping.
I have a headlight with a rotary dial, and I much prefer Anduril.
Have you noticed the touchscreen trend in cars now? It’s even worse than buttons, because you can’t even feel where the button is if it’s on a screen.
YES and I almost ran head-on into an old growth tree that was 8ft across at the base. I rented a car and it was like flying species 8472 spaceship. Insanely stupid to have that distraction in a car doing 70mph on a 2 lane road with logging trucks coming the other way.
AND
The lit touchscreens blind you on a dark mountain road. Good luck seeing that 1500lb black haired Moose running out of the bushes at full tilt.

Yeah, my rotary headlight is the Imalent HR20.
It's okay, but the Lumintop HL3A is so much better.

Yeah and the ij-itz took the dial off the hr70 for no reason.
knobs are out
ramping is in
anduril
FW3A
Wow, a rotary headlamp was something I didn’t know I wanted.
if you find one, it will have some other problem
like
not waterproof
costs $250
runs on AA cells
too big
off brand manufacturer
uses cheap parts
some other UI that you cannot stand
super blue or purple light
10 years old and on verge of not working
(someone did make them but they were expensive and i think also buggy)
There's a bunch, just google: headlamp rotary dial

SureFire, Coleman, etc.
Rotary dials seem to be popular on headlamps. I have one, but it's cheesy, never used it, forgot the brand.
Ohh - mine is exactly like the Imalent HR20, but different brand. Dial is loose, feels cheap, adjusting output is messy - Anduril/Narsil is sooo much better being non-linear.
My headlamp of choice is a modded D10 running Anduril 2, TIR optic for flood - use it every day.
oh - i actually didn;t notice the ‘’headlamp’’ part
knob might be better for that
or remote control on wrist or something
This is something I would love to have if you find one that is decent. I wish a lot more things came with rheostat control as opposed to buttons. In a flashlight could be as easy as twisting base or top. Wish I was smart enough to design these things.

Thank You!
I have 2 SWM IV flashlights and they are the cats bark!
This is a thorough review of the Sunwayman V11R Revolution. The flashlight with a magnetic control ring... for smoooooth output adjustment... from 0.5-200+ lumens...
Thanks.
Its not an INF V light though. Its just pre-selected modes by factory.

Got This one, it has a rotary dial
My favorite non-pushbutton variable headlamps are the Imalent HR20 and the Nitecore HC90.

I like the hr20 (now discontinued for hr70 which is NOT an IV light) Not sure why they discontinued IV on the hr70. I wish they would have used usb-c charge cable.
Any issues with heating body when off?
