What are you snacking on now?

Onions thin your blood :+1:

Who wants fat blood?

Are you fat shaming?

Oh, absolutely. Fat blood nasty. Naaaaasty.

Fwiw, good reminder about the mayo. Finished the last burger but this time with mayo. Nice extra bit of creaminess.

What to do with the last of the onion? Liverwurst on another potato-roll, with onions and tomato!

Round, round, and round, on round! You could taste the symmetry…

i haven’t used mayo in years, but you made it sound so good that i had to get a jar and crack it open to add some flavor to fish tacos i made with pan grilled trout.

Later at Aldis i saw a special on 1 lb bag of brussel sprouts, so i got those to go with a ground beef hot chipotle burrito for supper. Nuked a few for 2 minutes to soften and pre-cook the centers, then sliced in half and pan grilled them to put on a good char. Next time i’ll char some onion and garlic with them—it will be kickin’

Never was a fan of brussels sprouts, but halving them and then frying with loads of garlic… yum!

I glop on the mayo when having a samwich. Cranky guy at a Karl Elmer’s would get nasty when I’d ask for “extra extra extra extra mayo”, because he’d like dip the knife in the jar and use that little coating on the entire samwich. Uhhh, yeah, spare it, eh?

Once he asked me if I just wanted the jar, and I acted as if I was taking him seriously, like, “Really?? Yeah, sure, great!!”, which didn’t go over too well. He’d always find some reason to duck in back when I’d be next, to let someone else take my order. And they did it right.

Ironically, I got a coupla slices of ham left, that I was gonna have with mustard as a change of pace.

Snack yesterday was a bag of Texas Toast croutons, garlic’n’butter. I could eat those like potato-chips…

I just read that Hershey is making a limited edition Peanut Butter Cup the size of a toilet seat. I hope someone will try it and comment.

I’ve had a strong craving for sweets since I quit smoking 5 years ago and that would hit the spot.

They’re all sold out in our area and supposedly nationwide.

Have you ever wondered how they make the waffle cut fries? i love em, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Ooh, gimme.

I got one of those thingies. Blade like the middle of corrugated cardboard. Cut up/down, then left/right, etc., to make the pattern.

Damn tasty but with the supply chain issues they are up in price this year at like $4.69 a box where last year they had to be under $4

-- Aldis lemon white chocolate chip was the BOMB until they discontinued it a few months ago <<<<<EPIC COOKIE...GONE !!

-Aldis Winternacht Spekulatius are a holiday seasonal only german style windmill cookie that's very nice..hint of spice .mmm.

This is more of a meal than a snack.

It's the quesadilla that I make on most days.

The recipe is all my own.

8 ounces of pepper jack cheese

5 ounces of tortillas

1.4 ounces of salami

1-2 ounces of diced green chilis

some hot sauce

Not pictured:

The second tortilla that goes on top.

Go smoked bacon with them. They’re Brassica family, same as mustard and all those greens, they go really well with bacon and onion. I don’t know if you get tinned or vac-sealed sweet chestnuts in the US, but all that lot chopped and fried makes an epic mashed potato companion.

That sounds… odd… but strangely compelling.

I might hafta try that.

Brussel sprouts from the garden are tender and mild.

Just made cheese-dogs. Didn’t want to cook anything.

White toast, line with a slicenehalf of cheddar to fit the length of the bread, split the hotdogs to 2-across (2/3 and 1/3 from one, 1/3 from another), fold up like a taco.

Simple, tasty, and gooooood eatin’.

My Lunar New Year of the Tiger lunch: egg noodle (uncut) for longevity, fried wonton and wonton soup for gold and good luck, and colourful “pearls” in coconut cream to cool down. :+1:

I am going out later to eat wontons…they are really tasty specially with the right ingredients and good steaming or fried.
