Does anyone know if the contact-plates in the head of the LT1, Q8, SP36 and FW3A are golden or just brass?
If they are just brass, I would prefer to give them a silvering with silver nitrate.

Aside from the brighter yellow of gold, there’s probably an easy acid test to detect brass.
There’s no acid in the house to test and I do not want to destroy anything on my lights.
They are brass as far as I can tell. You can scratch the ring and see brass underneath.
