Hey ChibiM, saw that you’re looking for a digital watch. May I suggest this.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08VNR3NRW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08VNH56LY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought both. They were about $20.00 each at the time.
The Blacked out negative display one is easy to read. Unlike the first generation ones that were much harder to see.
Best digital watches I’ve bought, and the price is right. You don’t mind if you bang them around.
BIG display for a blind guy like me. No strange graphic displays that I won’t use and takes up space. Just a simple watch with a stop watch, timer, and alarms.

Olight Javelot Pro 2 Desert Camouflage. :smiling_imp:

But at the Olight USA website, it is listed at US$160.97 (I have one US$10 coupon, which is applicable; so the price comes down to US$159.97 + taxes).

However, I have found at the Olight Singapore/Malaysia website that the same model is / will be sold at only S$149.47 nett, or about US$110.70!! And no taxes.

I wonder why this price difference? Does Olight assume that flashlight buyers in the USA can always afford a higher price? :person_facepalming:

My guess is that no, they just assume that flashlight buyers in the USA can afford the higher price often enough to make it more profitable than the lower one.

Also expensive in UK.
Snagged a couple today, couldn’t resist at this price…
Thanks Henk

Wow, that's exactly fitting my requirements, especially the one with the black letters on light background.
It's on my wish list, and saw it's about 30EUR here, so hopefully get a little discount around black friday.

Thanks!

$200 off BLACKFRIDAY discount.....I couldn't resist.

A Coon Skin Cap - Has been on my Christmas list since 1956

Do you get SSD or HD? I’ve heard that for infrequent access long term storage drives, better to go with magnetic platter design. Not only is it cheaper, but it’ll last longer. What brand do you swear by?

When I frequented WatchUSeek, this model was lauded there. Really good value. One doesn’t need a nearly indestructible G-Shock if wearing for casual & light duty. The contrast on the negative display is excellent.

Also, there’s used watches to consider. I bought myself a Casio G-Shock GD-350 off eBay for about $40 shipped, very lightly used (worn just a few times), saving over 50% from retail. That watch has a vibration alarm. SUPER rugged. I never miss an alert because I actually feel it.

For the boot drive, SSD.

For all other drives, regular hard drives.

For SSDs, I always wind up getting Samsung.

For regular hard drives, I always get either Seagate or Western Digital.

I have a lot more Seagate hard drives than WD, and some of my Seagate hard drives have failed.

I have read that whichever you choose, between Seagate and WD, there is about an equal chance of failure.

I have also read that SSDs are more reliable, but, of course, they're more expensive.

If a regular hard drive is about to fail, you usually have some time to realize that it's happening.

I have read that with SSDs, they fail instantly (when they do fail.)

Good to hear it. I’m a Western Digital guy, for HDD. Never had one fail. I did own several Seagate drives and, on occasion, I’d have master table issues. Totally WD from now on.

Came home from walking the dog and the light lay waiting for me. Only 13 days.
A nice cardboard box with a manual and a lanyard in a bulletproof parcel.
The price has gone up to €11.64 (incl.VAT), but that’s still a no-brainer (IMHO).
If you’d ask me. Only 18hours left. No, I am NOT paid by them.

Wow, what a country: Suomi. My Glo-toob has a yellow collar and 4 pinkish-white leds.

hrm…only thing I’m hoping for is some hdd myself, but I’m looking for some specific ones: ultrastar 16tb. I “repaired” an 8-bay NAS I found on ebay (by putting a psu in it) and those are supposed to be the quietest and among the most reliable (check a site called BackBlaze). I’ve ripped all my dvds and blu-rays to files and I store them, along with any others that I’ve acquired, so I have a massive library built up over the years. I use one NAS to back up another NAS, just in case.

Aside from that, Steam is having a sale on games… that’s about it for me I think

lol... so funny :D

Would love to get the Olight Army Green Package. Maybe next year, when the price comes down to earth for a poor mortal soul like me to own such a wonderful lot. :confounded:

I bought two 14TB hard drives for $170 each, an audio device for $45, and a gaming chair for $200.

The hard drives were only on sale on Black Friday.

I got $50 off the gaming chair by signing up for PayPal Credit.

I plan to pay off my PayPal Credit as soon as possible, and then probably never use it again.

So, before tax, I've spent $535 in the last two days.

item was $230 at time of purchase

price same as listed

The Toshiba should be a nice replacement fot the still functional but annoying curved screen samsung. TV plus and other bloatware were bad enough but the lack of updates is disappointing. How long has it been since CBS All Access became Paramount+? They were quick to uninstall the old app but the replacement still isn’t available.
