Amazon Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

I got mine - is it safe to try a regular 18650 ? Or would I be making my very own IED

I have the same question. I just received mine too. The center circle on the battery, on both ends is positive and the outer area is negative. So the stock battery
can be placed in the light either way and work fine. But what happens if a NORMAL 18650 is inserted???

I like the fact the window breaker end seconds as a cigarette lighter insert to enable you to recharge the flashlight and the other end allows you
to use it as a power bank.

I’ve seen batteries like tis before— I’m thinking it enables the charging circuit to work without the light being on

My order for two IPStank lights is "delayed in transit" and after seeing the above posts I decided to cancel before delivery.

I do not know how satisfying the answers would be, but you can ask the Amazon seller of this light questions by using the method below:

On the right side of the Amazon listing for the light, click on "EEtech" where it states "Sold by EEtech" which is just beneath "Ships from Amazon".

On the right side of the page which appears after you click on "EEtech" click on "Ask a question" where it states "Have a question for EEtech?".

you know you want one.
or seven. this one is $12.50.

Nerf discounted on Amazon.

Thank you for your question, ordinary batteries cannot be used, we are equipped with rechargeable batteries, which can be reused

That was my reason for ordering two of these lights also. At least charging the battery inside the Stank seems to work fine, I’m going
to keep them in the cars with the battery removed and only inserted in an emergency on the road. When the battery stops accepting a charge, I guess
it’ll be a throw-away light, or I’ll just check my other flashlights to see which ones fit those safety cones.

major Stink, not gonna open them, will return…

I am unsure if I am keeping mine or not. I would keep it just for the 2 cones, but they do not fit any other flashlight in my collection. I might keep it because it is so unique however the battery thing does bother me.

Woah that battery is scary, kill it with fire before it kills you.

Heh, my supplier had basically the same light and I sold nearly all I ordered (about 80) in 2 weeks for $7 each. I think there might be 4 or 5 left in the box. But I wouldn’t have one for myself, not with button cells and such weak output. That light has “muggle” written all over it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Besides, once the flex heads have been bent around a couple of times, they don’t always push back into the body the way they should. They get kinked.

how about 3 for $15?
rechargable, too.

26.99 - 50% off clip coupon

FreeLionVon EDC flashlight is a mini and lightweight keychain flashlights with three lighting sources of white, red and UV. The max output for white is 550 lumens with beam throw 100 meters. Plus the extremel compact size and USB rechargeable design. It’s ideal for everyday carry.(copied from item description)

That FreeLionVon looks pretty good!

I would get it, but I don't want to accidentally use the UV light because UV light is dangerous.

Good find, thats a good deal even if it’s not of the highest quality.

Thanks for posting. Ordered 2 (separate transactions, coupon worked both times), because this is nearly a dream light for me. If only it had a hat clip. I’ll probably destroy one trying to put better emitters in the white/UV, and when I do I’ll see if the body is thick enough to drill/tap so I can screw a hat clip to it (instead of super gluing).

Thrunite Catapult V6 $63.74

Nice one gman9^

I don’t think it’d be worth the trouble on the UV. In a tiny thermally-ignorant host like this and with only a 300mAh battery, it’s doubtful that it can actually see the claimed 700mW output (or if it does, that only lasts a few seconds I’ll bet, with output dropping off rapidly and the emitter derating just as fast). A nicer/better emitter isn’t going to help anything. It would be neat to craft a teeny ZWB2 filter for it, though!
