I'm sorry but I don't believe him when he says that so many people tried to scam him and create multiple accounts ..I really think he just got laid out from the slickdeals bunch and had second thoughts about giving away basicly free lights to thousands of people ..Not to mention the numbers of dealers who probably got pissed off at him for giving away lights amd killing potential sales .
i'm sure no one knows all the little details involved but I'm just not buying the sob story .. it seems too easy and like someone said If he didn't anticipate it then he wasn't really thinking ahead either ..it was a deal and it still is a deal at 11$
All you people who are kicking yourself for missing the 5$ deal need to think seriously about jumping on this at 11$ if you're interested in a light like this one ......At 11$ it's a great deal
I suspected the same thing, to be honest. I don’t know the people behind the Thrunite-Store site, but I couldn’t help but wonder if perhaps they had bit off more than they could chew.
Anyway, I totally agree that this light is still a steal for $11 shipped. Hell, even at $15 shipped I think the light is a great value.
Ι sent them an email, because I am having a problem with the delivery date. I hope either they will send sooner, or I will have to cancel. They should have informed us while ordering the product. If they didn’t have it in stock they shouldn’t have put so many pieces available.
Please don’t cancel. Ask them if they can change the shipping address instead => Then you can sell it to some BLF member and give his address to the seller.
The only thing wrong with the deal is the random color choice. If they would eliminate the pink color choice it would be a good deal at any of these prices.
If you need a gift for a female it’s a good deal at any of these prices.
Basically, I think they were swamped, and can’t handle the demand. They are a small company, I imagine, so it will be all hands to the pumps after June 15th sending stuff out, and they don’t have the staff to sort things out. At $5 on a promotional deal, I can’t blame them.
I was also expecting a black firefly (order number 124), and would really like a firefly version. But, if it’s purple & 3lm low, so what? I give it away.

I’m almost sure that those 1000 TIs were sold to unique, lest say, 300-400 users? That web isn’t so popular like DX, for example. Spread worldwide that offer will cost much more time that if it was DX. Just my .02.
