Given the structural options RovyVon took to build the light (charging on the tail / electronic signal), making it usable with 18350 would make the flashlight bulkier/larger in diameter.
A different strategy for that would be needed, eventually putting charging port on the side/near the head.

I also prefer clips that can rotate on the body so I can position the switch button so that it is less likely to be accidentally activated while clipped to the top of my back pocket.

I don’t find my 18350 powered Thrunite T1 to be too bulky / fat for EDC, but it is relatively small for an 18350 light.
