Hello, our new product RD6024 4 digit high current power supply is coming. Hope you like it and you can check the product information and make order in the link below:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003744641750.html

As what we do all the time, we will set the lowest price when new product is released, so here is the price:

We also prepare the S800 case and input 1000W PSU for you to assemble them together to make a complete power supply. But RD6024 is 1440W max, 1000W PSU can let RD6024 output 24A or 60V, but it is not enough for 60V and 24A full output, you can find a 1500W 65V power supply for it, but you need to choose the good quality one, and check if it can be placed into S800 case.

Here are some important features about RD6024:

  • Support 60V 24A 1440W maximum output
  • 4-digit resolution, accurate display
  • Low ripple: 100mV@12A, 150mV@24A VPP
  • High efficiency: full output efficiency >95%
  • Optional display style(classic/detail display/curve style)
  • 15 colors can be chosen for displayed parameters
  • New setting interface, more user friendly
  • Optional output power limit, protect the device
  • 2.4 inch screen/PC software/APP control(RD6024W only)/support firmware update/multiple protections/keypad control/keypad lock

I always wondered why your prices don’t clearly state that the power supply is not usable unless you buy the other parts (case & PSU). It looks like the price for a complete system is double the advertised $75.99. I find this a bit misleading as I’ve gone to your site a few times only to be disappointed that the actual price for a complete power supply is much higher than what you advertised. Why not advertise the complete price here on BLF instead of the low price for one of the parts (programmable buck converter) only? Maybe you could create a special BLF ‘package’ price promotion that includes everything needed for a fully functioning power supply… Why would someone buy just the front panel unit (RD6024) without the other parts (aside from upgrading)? Is a 65V or 68V rail common in labs (like 48V rail in telecom racks) and thus many customers don’t actually need the 65V or 68V PSU? Please take this post as more curiosity questions rather than complaining. I will say that you make good products (as I have used some of your products in the past).

I need only panel not whole product. I have very large 1KW transformer which stay around and I want to make PSU with it. Also yeterday I saw there is aluminum CNC case made from user 100Mhz from taobao for RD power supplies. He made some amazing work for another soldering stations and cases of anothers products. So some of us may prefer to make own case or order another one.

hello, because not everyone needs the whole set, they just need the panel, they have their own AC to DC PSU, and they prefer to make the shell by themselves, our products are all DC to DC power supply, no mater the old DPS/DPH/DP power supply or new RD power supply series, they are all DC to DC power supply, we can prepare the case and input PSU if you need, but we will let you choose what you need.

yes, in the feedback, there are may DIY power supplies based on our power supply, customers have all kinds of thoughts, which is really great, we have made 2 videos about the DIY power supplies in our YouTube channel

Ah, OK. Now I understand that these are priced primarily for folks using their own PSU or who are NOT buying the PSU from RD Tech. I would have thought it was the other way around - that most folks would buy the complete power supply and not just the panel. I’m surprised that most of your customers purchase only the panel. Especially with all of the warnings on your site about the possible damage that may occur when using an inferior PSU. Thanks.

yes, and for input power supply, just do not use very chep PSU it should be ok, for those electric bike charger, second hand power supply, sometimes there will be high voltage peak, which exceeds the input limit of our product, so it is not suitable, but if you have good one, there is no problem

RD6024 60V 24A 1440W actual test about accuracy/ripple and output efficiency

the promotion lasts to 9th, after that though there will be promotion, but not as big discount as this time

X25A cable for RD6024 full output

:person_facepalming: That’s it not right way to measure ripple voltage with that probe hooked to output and that long ground wire. Also most of time is used 50 ohm BNC termination setup for best measurements. You must use short wires and probes as possible. Also about efficiency for BLF users more interesting will be when you have low output voltage and higher load currents. That’s its right way

Also for EU citizens real price is not 75$ but over 95$ with VAT.

hello, the ripple test way in the EEV blog video is correct, it is more accurate, but most customers does not have same condition to test it, we show a way that customer can do in their home to get the same result, you can see in the technical parameter chart we already indicate that the repple is 100mV@12A,150mV@24A, but actually it is not such big when you test it.
for the second thing you said ripple under low voltage and big current, the ripple is mainly influenced by the current, the voltage does not influence it much, and we show the ripple at big current

and for VAT, it is charged by Aliexpress, we do not get it, and it is used for your customs when the package arrive at your customs, so that you do not need to pay it, it is the new law for EU area since 2021-7-1

after 5.5 hours the RD6024 promotion will end, and there will be winter sale for the whole store, the price at that time is from 85USD(no VAT price)

Pulled the trigger on one yesterday. I have been waiting on this 24 amp model for awhile.
I have two of the older DPS models which have been great but I really wanted this newer better display model.
The on and off membrane switch on the DPS model was a little hard to push, sometimes the whole power supply would move just trying to activate the on switch. Hoping this one is much easier.

thank you , hope you like that

I did the same, I also have a DPS model (5020) and yeah the interface is really subpar.
24A is nice although I would have preferred 30A.

I’m wondering if this model has reverse polarity protection — I’ve messed up two 5020 charging batteries

I didn’t purchase because I could not find a suitable power supply to power this, any recommendations?

for now there is not cheaper and suitable power supply
