Ha!!! Awesome choice! Funny, as I have one of those stashed in my “get home” bag loaded with e-gizer lithium primaries. Just pulled it out the other day for a function check. Capable little lamp for sure.
Of the lights I currently own, the Skilhunt H04RC. The beam and tint are perfect for me. It’s also very lightweight.
My RRT01 with 219b is very close. I just need to find the right TIR to change the beam from spot to flood and it will be perfect for me. If I could get a beam shape like the Skilhunt it would be perfect. The size, UI, power, and weight is all on point. The only weakness is the cell with in-built charging uses micro-USB, wish it was a C-type charging port. If I could switch that and the optic it will be spot on.
Doesn’t get much love but I might go with Nitecore EC11 small enough for easy EDC but I can have direct to white or red light both at hand.
agree with SC64w HI
Fireflies E12R
Or for the same money you could have 2 Wurkkos TS21’s and a few batteries.
Because 2 is 1 for real.
Probably a Fireflies Nov-MU in 4500k. Throw is cool and all, but when it comes down to it, pure flood is the most useful thing for most situations in which I’m going to use a flashlight. The color rendering, tint, efficiency, and magnetic tail are icings on the cake.
Has to be under $100? Emisar D4V2 Vn W2.
Convoy M1
Mateminco MT04 (Astrolux EA01s) with SST40 @ 5000k. This light has enough flood and throw for 99% of situations and it’s quite sustainable due the efficient emitters. If you have one light, I think it makes sense to have USB charging as well.
The MT04 is precisely the light I’m bringing on a roadtrip in a month.
Honorable mentions include the Jin Heng JKK21700 with SFT40 and Sofirn IF22A.
Prometheus Delta Nichia 219C 5k.
Convoy M21B with GT-FC40. Probably my most well-rounded light.
i USE only one light 99% of the time
FW3A
i HAVE 40-leven others
others that i use sometimes
cyansky M1R / trustfire minix -tiny rectangular keychain lights
tool AAA/copper
BLF A3/18350
One flashlight so it should be multifunctional…and easy to mod. One flashlight don’t mean the same LED, optics , firmware, isn’t it?
Then I think I chose Panda 4. Headlamp is most functional type of flashlights. And 3 chanal driver also add a lot of functionality.
My favorite flashlight is the Acebeam E70-AL, so that would be my pick.
Zebralight H600Fc
Wait a minute... If I can only have 1 flashlight then what happens to the 14,000 other lights I own ?
It would be a headlamp .
a tint / hi cri modded one ....
If I only get one light, I'm picking the perfect tint
and
"yes Virginia ..High CRI matters "
Hehe your choice didn’t get any easier did it MUalum13…
One flashlight, since i actually use mine a lot it would have to be the most versatile, small enough to be with me 24/7 but big enough to accomodate a single 18650 or 21700 for decent runtime, maximum of 4000k led temp, at or below bbl, with a die not too big so as to have a little bit of throw (maximum size sst40 ish), a way to be locked out, a decently efficient driver, provision for a clip.
Funny how this same question gets posted two or three times a year
If I needed real utility, probably something like the Warrior X turbo, but not made by olight.
If I only needed bursts of turbo, a D4sv2 with quad w2s.
