Similar in size yet so different

Two AA lights, two 18650 lights and one 26650.
Notice how the heights are not much different.
Though oddly enough the two 18650s on the right seem very different in hand feel/size even though the difference is less than 1cm.

Do you have a DQG tiny?
Now that one is small. Another very good pocketable size is the Lumintop Tool AA.

I don’t have either of those but my keychain light is a Olight i3e
It has come in handy many, many times.

I find very small details can make a light a lot more or less comfortable to carry. Small length/width differences can be significant. Certain exterior features, especially protrusions, can ruin pocketability. And the clip can make or break a light.

Agreed except for the clip, i rarely use it and often tend to just remove them.
Maybe i should try using them more.

DQG Tiny 18650 is one of my favourite lights ever.

Feels well in hand. Not very heavy for the size. Extreme runtime for the size. Bright enough. With Folomov cell it doubles as a powerbank.
The only drawback is that switches break off from time to time.

I wish someone made a better version with BLF UI, aux lights and reinforced switch. It wouldn’t be a pocket rocket but extremely practical workhorse.

This is my version:

From left to right: Manker ML03 (2xLH351D), Thrunite Catapult Mini (1xCLNM1), Emisar D4 (4xLH351D), Sunwayman V10R (1x219b 4500k), Coast HP1 (3x219C 4000k)

The Coast HP1 is the longest at 116mm.

I really wish Hank would make a practical EDC single-emitter light.

+1

Nitecore MH20 vs Wuben i332.

Almost the same exact size in both diameter and length (literally within a coupla mm), both with usb charging and sideclicky, yet the MH takes a full 18650 whereas the i332 only fits a 16340 (not even an 18350).

That Romisen must be almost 20 year old! I still have one; my first momentary on switch light. Something is wrong with the driver but it works with the NiMh. Compared to current similar form factor light, the Romisen is strictly for nighttime “don’t destroy my nightvision” light but I am still fond of it.

Kaidomain has the Black DQG Tiny 4. Well at least they say they do. I bought a grey one about a year ago from them. After emailing George to buy directly from him and, not getting a response I found them on Kaidomain and took the chance and ordered one.

I have ordered lots of things from Kaidomain and always had great service. I was just nervous about buying a light that isn’t made anymore, I could be wrong, from the only place that says they have them. Ordered it and it showed up about a month later.

What interesting lights.
Mine are rather simple

Interesting.
What do you replace the switch with when it breaks?

I notice the size difference seems apparent between the Olight and the Wurkkos while the actual size difference is less than 1cm.

Mine is about half that age, from Shiningbeam (iirc), XP-G chip, 75-100 lumens.
A nice 1 mode easy to grasp light.
