BLF A6 A17DD driver okay for SFT-40?

Hi guys, just trying to catch up after being gone for ages.

Is using a BLF A6 A17DD driver (or other FET+1 driver) okay for a Luminus SFT-40, using a single 30Q cell? I’m trying to stay near the 9-10A sweet spot.

I apologize in advance if I’m asking a question that has been discussed to death. I did a search but didn’t see a straight answer. Thanks guys!

That will work perfectly fine.
With an XPL2 shaved in an S2+ i have measured once around 9A if i remember correct

Thanks Yokiamy! Just wanted to check that current draw wouldn’t be much more than 9-10 amps before buying a few SFT-40 LEDs to play with.

I have tons of those BLF A6 A17DD drivers from years ago when they were super popular for bugdet drivers. So many that I don’t even know what to do with! :smiley:
