very warm high cri reading headlamp

The HS05 2700K would fit the bill well if only it came in a beaded TIR option. Aaaaaargh ā€¦ these decisions are hard when oneā€™s on a budget.

What about Manker E03H II?

Itā€™s an SST20 at 4000K but got the beaded TIR and seems well constructed. But itā€™s kinda on the pricey side.

Oh sod it ā€¦ ordered the HS05 in 2700K. Hopefully itā€™s sufficiently throwy and good luck to me retrofitting a beady tir.

I think the HS05 is a perfectly fine choice!
If youā€™re not able to find a TIR that fits, you can try applying a window security film (like DC-fix) or Scotch tape to the lens.

Itā€™ll diffuse the hotspot, and you could apply multiple layers for greater effect.
There will naturally be some output losses - but depending on your use case that may actually be desirable.

Hi, I may answer why there are two listings :D. One ships from USA, the other ships from China. The title can tell the difference.
Now 2700K HS05 is out of stock

HS05 in this link ships from China

HS05 in this link ships from USA (only 5000K is available)

If you have any questions, please let me know

Glad you asked

I ordered the 2700K HS05 with battery kit yesterday and have high hopes for it. Is there a compatible beaded TIR lens that you recommend for it?

You have to know size of HS05 reflector and their room.
Be carefull if you want try unscrew the silver ring holder to avoid scratchs
For my SP40 I used a tool for open watch back case that I already had

Convoy have 17mm Tir lens, but now store is closed.
Canā€™t guarantee they will fit or it may be necessary to file them to reduce the depth

Still wearing mine every day, Light!

Perfect timing, too. Just got a sales email from LITOM (first time in forever), and that critterā€™s on sale for 11bux from the LITOM site.

Just had to charge mine after running it down doing puzzles.

Received the HS05.

Cute little light in 2700K and the moonlight mode surprisingly usable although the low mode probably more useful for reading.

Itā€™s reasonably floody and suspect that had there been an OP option it may have sufficed. Having said that, would have preferred a ā€˜beadedā€™ TIR regardless and itā€™d have been perfect for me.

Just apply d-c-fix to the lens and it would be fine

I have a ā€œWarm Whiteā€ Armytek Wizard Pro with the XHP50 that is very nice for, well, everything so far. It seems to be becoming obsolete by my Nichia version, but the XHP50 is definitely warmer. Nowhere near 2700k like the little Sofirn, but a much lower moonlight none the less.

My ā€œdaily bangerā€ is an S2+ with 219c in 4000K and itā€™s very pleasant. Iā€™m really enjoying the 2700K Sofirn though. Itā€™s a such a lovely warm light.

The Cyansky HS6R is very decent. I measured 4300k on the spot beam and the flood is the SST20 4000K which has 3 levels for an excellent bright flood

Just came inside from getting beamshots for my Nitecore HC65 V2 review and the Cyansky is nicer, not as bright, but is a better CCT

The Cyansky looks gorgeous. Bit on the grounds-for-divorce expensive side for me but Iā€™ll probably explore a ā€˜higher endā€™ had lamp next time I go on holiday. Maybe over the next 10 to 20 years if Iā€™m lucky.

I forgot that all you needed it for was reading

What about something like this?

Something with a blue led might be worth looking into if the books are text only.

I got this book light for my mom and she loves it.

The photos in the upper left corner are wrong, and I only paid $12 for it (two years ago), but that's the link.

Looks like an egg slicer

Yeah, like I said, the photos are wrong.
