They mentioned the 15th June after they saw they couldn’t handle the volume. I suppose you didn’t read an earlier post of mine. I will be away for 2 months, and if something comes through the post, it stays at the post office one month, then being undelivered it gets returned back… So I am not being unreasonable trying to contact them to see if they have one t ship now, or cancel, or at least give someone elses address so that the offer doesn’t go wasted…
As for giving them a break… well after 3 days and no reply even to say: “we received your message, we will get back to you within 48 hours” or just a word, any word, sorry but for me they suck… I suppose they will bother to reply after a week? Never maybe? And no I never asked for a tracking number.
I think this is probably one of the worst marketing mistakes ever for a torch company. Think about it!
If I was planing a deal like this I would have come on here and CPF and made the offer to enthusiasts, rather than going on slickdeals and facebook. What has happened is a load of people, most of which are possibly not even interested in torches or LEDS, have ended up picking up multiples of these lights, a lot of them will probably end up on ebay, or in a draw at home, unused. But more importantly they probably won’t encourage repeat purchasing.
If they had offered them to us, we more than likely would have bought more Thrunite lights thus giving them reviews and ‘airtime’ on here. Instead they have got a lot us us talking about them in the wrong way. They couldn’t even reply to the email sent from a member here, asking to extend the deal for us guys. Which makes me think about the after sales if you had a problem.
My post office often hold my mails/packages for me. I write a short note for the post’s staff with my name + duration of absence. They stick my note on a wall in their depot. So they won’t forget.
Here in Greece it is questionable if they will remember. Nevermind that August is a “dead” month, all public sector is almost closed, and everybody is away on holidays…
Spoke with a representative from ThruNite today, she was very helpful, told her to join the forum so maybe we will be seeing her here as a ThruNite representative, and get direct support and offers. 8)
What does it matter if someone gave them the wrong phone number? What do they do, call first? Also, I agree that this was a mistake as far as marketing. They offer a great deal and then take it back because too many people jumped on it. Then they don’t ship in a timely manner and are slow to respond to emails.
For many, this was the first experience with this company and it is not looking like a place you would want to spend more money at. The idea is give them a taste of your product and hope they come back and buy more items at full price. Right now, I wouldn’t pay full price for their product because, slow shipping, lack of CS and inconsistant message from seller.
