Wait, GT90 LED? I thought this had a SBT90.2 but could be mistaken. What’s the GT90 LED?

6000 lumens and 860m throw (198kcd) is similar specs to a SBT90.2 with a 50mm head. A SBT90.2 in a light with a 59mm head could probably just hit 1000m (250kcd).

If the specs are right then this LED is a little brighter and slightly less throwy than the SBT90.2.

From the photo it looks like a SBT90.2. Perhaps it’s a clone or the v1 SBT90.

Here 2 pictures of the GT90 LED:

Been wondering when this would pop up on BLF. Neal has had it listed on his site for $79.95 for a couple months now. Discount seems kinda small this time if it’s in the $60+ range?

I’m hoping to get a free one or at least the head, since I’ve been mucking around with Lumintop since April of last year trying to get parts for the original XHP35HI version. They did send me a driver but it was for the ODF30C or whatever that was…totally different. This new V2 looks like it should be less throwy, and that on top of the extra dismal experience (again) with Lumintop would make it a hard pass for me. Their amazon rep mostly tells me he will check with his coworker and get back to me (it’s a repetitive game at this point) but when I recently brought up this potential with the new V2 he indicated that it wouldn’t be available until March or April - maybe he was referring to the North American market, though.

I will say that the body is a nice design, feels good in hand, and if they kept the same switch, it’s a decent one. Would rather see this in 26800, too.

My luxmeter shows 4500 lumen (ceiling bounce) and 126.000 cd for my two ODF30C V2, using a 21700 Samsung 30T.
My old ODF30C with XHP35 Hi has more throw (180.000 cd).

Doesn’t look like an SBT-90.2 to me. No square metal lens over the emitter.

Your throw estimates also seem right. An SBT-90.2 should at the very least throw over 900m in that size head, even with an OP reflector.

Along with the info on taschenlampenforum posted by sandro, I think it’s pretty clearly not the SBT-90.2.

I doubt the 6000 lumen claim. Who knows really with what seems to be a completely unknown LED. I do know that lumintop’s lights featuring real SBT-90.2’s are typically specced at 6500 lumens or even 7500 lumens. So going by Lumintop’s own overinflated numbers, this isn’t as bright or as throwy as an SBT-90.2.

On taschenlampenforum, user pho posted a measurement of 3446lm and 896m (measured at 5m). Slightly better throw than spec, but pretty underwhelming compared to an SBT-90.2.

This is a weird light. I get it has lineage, but it’s’s an odd choice. Maybe real SBT-90.2s are harder to get?
