Mine came with Anduril 2. Version check reports:

  • Build date: 2021-08-29
  • Model: 0621 (Sofirn LT1 tiny85)

The flashing pads appear to have the two columns reversed. So it says “1 2 3 4” on the pads for pins 8, 7, 6, and 5. And it says “8 7 6 5” on the pads for pins 1, 2, 3, and 4. Oops. Easy mistake to make though, and it doesn’t really hurt anything.

The unfortunate part is that the pads don’t follow the spacing used by BLF adapters like the HQ ProgKey, Lexel’s adapter, or Emisar’s flashing kit. And Sofirn doesn’t sell an adapter (yet). So I haven’t been able to flash it, since none of my adapters fit.

Here’s how it looks when trying to use a HQ ProgKey. I couldn’t get all the pads connected at the same time:

I think Sofirn might try to update their lights to use attiny1616 though, which would mean everything gets a new 3-pin flashing layout instead of the 6-pin or 8-pin layouts used in the past. The 3-pin design is already used on the SP10 Pro, and Sofirn is trying to put together a flashing kit for it. So I’m hoping the other models will get it too.

If that happens, I could also add thermal regulation… though it sounds like it’s not really necessary.

Sofirn selling flashing kits? Advanced Thermal Regulation? Holy hell sign me up! Right NOW!

It’s not very advanced. It’s pretty primitive, really, and doesn’t have a name or even a classification other than “hacked together”. But it does generally keep things close to the target temperature, on a wide range of different hardware, without overshooting and oscillating the brightness.

… but from what I’ve heard, it’s probably unnecessary on the LT1-mini because it simply doesn’t run at high enough power levels for regulation to be needed.

I saw this on Sofirn FB USA
LT1-Mini and C8L pre-production samples passed the test by LT1-Mini group team members.

Yes, as far as we seem to know now, the pre-production samples have been approved for the most part by the LT1M team.
-(Other team members can confirm if they wish here) So far i myself have given it a green-light to go into production for sale as the same unit as the test samples we evaluated, and hopefully we get a group-buy discount code soon for the LT1M.

I am interested in one also.

UPDATE,April,11,2022
Sofirn has confirmed with me the LT1M will be offered in the same Orange, Green & Black colors as the full size LT1 Lantern

Very Nice

Looks like I will be getting one of each.

(Don’t add me to the list I am already there for 2.)

I just got my mini lantern in the mail today. :+1:
It will be a great addition to my camping gear.

Would a magnet be included in the base?

Please put me down for two more.

Not planned at this time due to keeping costs per unit down.
