Except for the fact that he doesnât have them in stock, no.
Just they wait to receiv it for ship order, I think.
Even if sometimes he never says anything and your order can wait weeks
Contact them with chatbot bottom right on nealsgadget website
Choose âinformation orderâ or something like that
Enter your order ID receiv and your mail use for the order
After the bot tell you âorder XXXX is awaiting fulfillment.â
tell âany shipping date?â and a guy respond to you normaly, after itâs an negociation
Well, that was pretty painless. The whole process to no more than 5 minsâŚâŚ Neals Gadgets on r/flashlights doesnât have a great reputation for getting back to customers or being generally responsive. However, this was greatâŚ. pretty happy with the customer serviceâŚ.
FYI: The first batch is just SS bezelâŚ. The aluminum bezel will ship out on the 12th
Received mine today. Reverse clicky mechanical switch. 20,000lm @turn-on with two P42Aâs. Body tube comes in half for use with one cell, but it wonât actually turn on with one cell. Bezel says âCHAOSâ on it.
Normaly if you turn off a high, if you turn on you start at low, at each start they up one step O_0.
itâs that to all my Nightwatch light.
You take quickly double short press for turbo at each start
Even if for me the most usable modes is High for Nightwatch
Nice. I was hoping for more. Maybe try some 30Ts in it. Hopefully Neal will send one for testingâŚhe promised but weâll see. Nightwatch UIs are nothing to write home about. No surprises there. I wonder why it wonât turn on with one cell?
I will try and review mine when I get it. It should in theory be able to do more than 20k lumens but in a 2 series light it will be hard as you are limited to the current output of one cell plus there are not to many high amperage 6v drivers. 3-4 cells in parallel would have been better, still this light is doing 100+ watts no slouch.
I have some P42A cells and they are top tier.
Maybe those leds are 6V and they are using simple Fet driver. I built Convoy L6 with 4 XHP70.2âs and with Molicel P42âs and Fet driver it draws ~31A.
It would have to be a buck driver since the LEDs are 3 volt. Makes sense for LVP. Thatâs the only feasible way to achieve the current needs for this light. Iâm hoping someone measures the current draw on it. Curious to know what it is.
Hmm, Nealâs description is correct for me; turbo is only accessed by a triple click from either off or on. I tried double half-tapping from either off or on and no turbo.
