You know you’re a flashaholic, when you go away from home and you’ve got more flashlights than you can hold in your hands all at once.
This is what accompanied me, and it’s still not everything (I have a copper Astrolux AA, a Nitecore EC4GT, and Sofirn D25L that didn’t make the photo).
Some were brought in my weekender bag, and others are normally stashed in my laptop bag…
Soooo I have a lot of lights, most ready to grab on my living room shelves, some in other “ready to grab” places, like a Nitecore EA45S and Klarus XT30R, BLF GT70 and some other stuff, like a titanium Pineapple
I’m just starting out with my flashlight collection.
I have the following:
ThruNite TN12 & Nitecore MT10A
I’m in Australia and noticed Outdoors Warehouse sell Powa Beam & Olight flashlights.
Does anyone have any experience with these brands? A mate of mine says good things.
Welcome to BLF! You might make a new separate thread for that question so more people will see it. You have a lot of fellow Aussies on here. I don’t know about the Powa Beam but Olight is popular around the world and they make pretty good lights for the most part. In the enthusiast world here Olight isn’t very popular for a few reasons. First is that they often use LEDs that don’t have the nicest color or tint (two different qualities of light we see). Second is that they most often use proprietary altered lithium batteries, and most of us prefer the cheaper (and sometimes better) normal batteries that most lights will take. If an Olight catches your eye, shop around and consider signing up for their email list on their website…they do very frequent sales and usually discount under the normal retail/distributor prices that way (they may be on Amazon in Australia, too, and if so sometimes you can score flash deals there). There are a ton of “budget” brands for enthusiast lights that give the same or better performance than the major brands you see in stores, and most people never hear of these other brands. Not that the major brands are bad, just that they often don’t present a good value what they offer (although they sometimes give excellent warranty service and such….many brands do not).
Hi I don’t know about Powa beam but Olight lights are some of the best made lights on the market. I have a Baton3,m2r and a Marauder mini. Both lights are extremely well built with a flawless finish. Both light exceed expectations with performance. I really like the marauder mini. Olight hit a homerun with the mini.
