Moonlight is also a consideration. In my testing, the new Boost drivers end up with a moonlight around 0.8-0.9lm. Whereas the Linear drivers typically have a moonlight around 0.1lm. Moonlight is a big deal for me, so in an EDC I’ll be going with the Linear driver personally. The boost driver is very compelling though, and makes the decision difficult.
I would buy multiple of those in a heartbeat. Even single color, an Emisar/Noctigon branded headlight is needed.
I like the linear CC drivers as defaults too, but having the option of a boost driver for every light would be welcome IMO.
On another note, Hank can we get a lanyard tailcap for the DM1.12? It’s a little awkward with the 21700 tube and I think some people might appreciate the additional safety.
That’s a good point. I got my dual channel Hanks in a few weeks ago and their moonlight is surprisingly bright. Probably will go with a single channel next time.
edit: I also keep clicking reply instead of quote smh
Does anyone have a dual channel light and a way of measuring lumens who would be willing to test my firmware changes for a lower moonlight mode on dual-channel lights?
I’d love to get some lumen measurements for how much of a difference it makes.
Is the bezel going to be easily removable? Mostly want to know if we’ll be able to access the LEDs. Might want to try dedoming the 5700K 519a when that is available.
Welcome to the club I did it not to long ago, hence I noticed The 8 was supposed to be bold, but somehow that doesn’t work and made it stand out even more.
