Yes, both the switch retaining ring and bezel are removable.
The 519A LEDs are stuck on the way for about one month without moving,
Iām not quite sure when they can reach to us.
That sucks about the 519. It does make my decision easy though. I read to the kids every night. This will be awesome. Do you think the e21 or Nichia 219B is more.floody? I think I prefer Nichia to Samsung 351 (green tint).
Edit: same question, does the 18350 D4v2 tube work?
Couldn't help it, ordered a DW4 with a boost driver and SST20 4k.
Does anyone know if the weight spec is with a cell? 128g would be very heavy without a battery compared to similar lights.
A little comparison table courtesy of "sissipaska":https://www.reddit.com/user/sissipaska on reddit.
A single 18650 cell weighs around 45 grams.
Quick comparison:
Skilhunt H04: 44g, 89g with 18650*
Emisar D4V2 74g, 119g with 18650**
Emisar DW4 83g, 128g with 18650
Emisar DT8 104g, 149g with 18650*
In detail:
Skilhunt H04 18650 tube with tailcap weighs 20g, head 24g, combined 44g
Emisar DT8 18650 tube with tailcap weighs 36g, head 65g, combined 104g
The DT8 shares battery tube with the D4V2 and DW4, so:
Emisar D4V2 18650 tube with tailcap weighs 36g, head 38g, combined 74g
Thus for the DW4 if we deduct 45g 18650 cell from 128g, we get:
Emisar DW4 18650 tube with tailcap weighs 36g, head 47g, combined 83g
without tailcap magnet
**according to /u/grzybek337
, don't have one to weigh

Was looking for something to physically compare weight with (and size visually), specifically in the short version. So here are some additions:
SP40 no battery: 58 / 67 gram (18350 / 18650)
SP40 tube only: 10 / 18 gram (18350 / 18650)
D4v2 tube only: 15 / 28 gram (18350 / 18650)
Or even more extreme, but slightly unfair comparison; the Sofirn HS10 (a 16340 light) only weight 35 grams. DW4 18650 weighs 84 gram, so that means DW4 18350 weighs 71 gram. Double the HS05.
TL;DR
The DW4 is one of the heavier options for headlight purposes. It is worth noting that Emisar's build quality is more solid than a lot of common alternatives. Also I looked purely at weight, the DW4 driver and emitter options blast the above mentioned models out of the water.
need a high frequency converter IC to reduce the size of the inductor and capacitors so that it fits into the D4v2 board, very common with buck converters, less so with boost converters, TI has the TPS61088 and TPS61278 with adjustable frequency (also TPS61089 but less powerful).
fewer passives needed, usually none at all (except FB voltage divider), whereas TPS61088 and TPS61178 need 8 and 7 passives (external compensation, ilim, freq selection, bootstrap cap, Vcc decoupling cap)
usually smaller than boost ICs
@ Verodin, your quote breaks the page on mobile (due to the āpreformatedā format without line breaks)
Not sure if you mean switching as in Buck, or switching as in channel switching, but both of those are available in DW4. The boost driver is available as an add-on on the single channel product page. The channel switching version has a separate listing.
My bad, I meant switch-mode, DC to DC converting driver. Missed the add-on option too. Thatās terrific news, now I donāt have to wait on Fireflies to release their Lume1 PL47 successor. Iāll go for Noctigon/ Emisar build quality any time.
Iām almost certain the 519aās will be available tomorrow. Iāve been waiting weeks to order another Hank light and pulled the trigger today, that pretty much guarantees the new LEDs will go on sale tomorrow or very soon thereafter.
