JKK76 7*SFT40 and 7*SFN55.2

So with this can style ight should I go flood (sfn55.2) or throw (sft40)?

Really depends on what you’ve got and what is your interest and usage man, it’s a tough call. I think the hotspot size of the SFT40 would be similar to my Sofirn Q8 pop can (5k lumens, 100kcd, times 3 of this and focus at the same spot and it’d be the JKK76 SFT40). The usage of my Sofirn Q8 is rather limited in my city area, other than ceiling bounces for more diffused illum.

But then your usage might be different from mine. Some people like throw more, some want something in between, some prefer more flood. Actually at 150k cd thereabouts, the SFN 55.2 can throw a fair bit as well.

Besides i’ve already gotten the Haikelite HT50, 6k lumens and 500kcd confirmed by me and some other users, so that part is covered. This one is just 1/3rd the price of a JKK76 w/SFT40, before the price on TB went up.

If the JKK76 SFT40 is at say rmb 488 on TB like the first launched price of 428 rmb sfn 55.2 version, i might just get this as well. lol. Unfortunately it’s not. I like soda can lights a lot, find them practical for my usage and the pants that i always wear, no need for holsters. I still remember those 3 cell lights like the Trustfire TR-j18 etc. Those are really …. :person_facepalming:

Say, does anyone know what the manufacturer of the SFX LEDs is?

I might be interested, since it seems like they might be making a 3/6V 5050 LED, which would be really interesting to have as XHP50 alternative, not just XM-L2.

This will be my first soda can light, I like the gimmicky usb charger out and as I’m really looking for a wow effect. My only other lumen monster is an astrolux ft02s with xhp50.2 so I’m hoping this jkk76 will blow that away.
As far a throw King, I have the c8+ with w1 and a sbt90.2 so I’m looking for something to top those. It’ll also be my first sft40 I guess.

I think it is San’an Optoelectronics. Luminus is a wholly owned subsidiary of San’an by the way.

I think the sfn55.2 are 7070 which are xhp70.2 comparable as where the sft40 are 5050 comparable to the xhp50.2 but more throwy

I see. I’ll have to find a way to contact them directly as an invidual then.

For your 5050 I hear they go by p50 or sfq55 and sfn43.

But I don’t think they can make that special unicorn led that you’re looking for, 90cri+ and neutral k

Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if they could make it with my specifications at all.

One thing that I’ve learned throughout my adventures and electronic experience is that as long as you don’t change the silicon floorplan to do something semi-custom(such as a completely different series/parallel arrangement), it’s fine asking for different optical characteristics since that’s outside of the chip fabbing process.

Luckily Jinheng provides a usb c to usb c cable as well, so no need to spend $$$ again to get one.

Wow, with your current lights, it’d really be a toss up between the SFT40 or SFN 55.2 versions. Good luck on your choice. lol.

Can international customers order from here? I have debit gift cards which I can’t use on PayPal to order from his website since they are geo restricted to my county

What payment options are available on Taobao? Maybe I’ll look and see if I can use those gift cards there

I got gifted a few $25 Amex cards and I found you can use them through PayPal but it takes 10 cents for the verify so you’re only able to spend $24.90. I asked hank if i can get a light and do a few small payments that would eventually end up to the actual cost of the light but i dont think he understood and just told me to go through with the order on his site. But ymmv.

I learned the hard way, no expensive lights for tomorrows paper weight or relic. I spent lots for a 1700 lumen 6.4 amp quad xpg P60 dropin, now much less for much more even just on P60 dropins. So no $300 lights to be beaten by $60 lights next year. I’ll wait for the $60 one. Efficient LED’s over high output ones. XHP50 and 70 have won the lumen per watt race that keeps heat down.

And now the crees are coming out with .3 that’s making for more high cri rendering.

Ok, so I’ve contacted San’an.

Let’s see how they respond :money_mouth_face:

I have enough to do one large payment. Hank’s website with PayPal is probably setup to accept payment the same way AliExpress does as a foreign transaction which is probably why mine didn’t go through.

Haven’t looked into this too much since 519A are taking a while to get to Hank

It would be hard and probably not worth the trouble unless there are cheap, established freight forwarders servicing your country. The Singaporean in this thread has used a freight forwarder with success.

I just bought myself the SFT-40 version and if it’s too throwy for my taste I’ll replace one or two of the LED’s with LH351D or something
