Donut hole is only a problem in small SMO reflectors.
I’ve been using XHP50 gen1 which is exactly the same layout like this emitter and in OP reflectors it’s not a problem (even in some tiny ones).
Few specific models (super throwers) had visible donut hole.
Long story short, yes there will be a donut in some setups.
I still need it…
Yeah, but testing is still good.
It might be domeless, but we want optimal beam quality
Don’t worry: I haven’t found another manufacturer capable of making such an LED yet with a better emitter setup, so everything is good.
It’s our “only” current option unless someone at Nichia/Luminus/Cree/Getian decides to actually make something like this
Update my amount of led from 3 to 10 please

I am in for 20
I salute your engagement
I’m in for 4, so long as an actual test shows no donut hole.

I already said it on Reddit - but please put me in for 20, blueswordm.
thank you!
and the closer to 4000k the better for me (4000k is my perfect cct). 4500k is exciting too, though.

I prefer 4000k for general purpose flashlight. 2700k or lower for bedtime use.
Put me down for 20!
@SKV89 , lordlupulin, storbod, all added.
In for 10. Thanks for organizing.
Put .e in for 10 in the US.

I’m in for 20.
If the sample shows positive results, I’ll increase to 40.
I’ll take 50 if fogofwar is able to confirm low CRI samples look good in common optics and OP reflectors.

5 3V for me.
@BlueSwordM , update me from 5 to 10 please. Doing what I can to make it happen.
Plus FOMO because I ordered 1/2 of what I ended up needing of the initial release of the DA0GF4RTS6’s and AZHU’s 219B D220 SW45K’s.
