I don’t have an Acebeam, but I will give some comments:
- I like the looks and the low weight of of the TK18, but for a high priced lamp I would want to have the exact emitter I want to have, which means a 4000K high CRI LED from Nichia (219C, 519A) or SST (SST20), not LHD.
- The P15 looks very interesting, heavier but with good way to attach a mount for ‘just in case’ on a bike (though it’s not a proper bike light with cutoff, of course), charge cable and you can attach a button there too (this is similar to what Exposure has done with their bicycle lights, the charge port also accepts a remote button to switch it on/off and do mode changes). However, why only a 6500K LED? Same as above for me for the LED. For a low price lamp I’d be willing to do an emitter swap, for a high price lamp the option should be there.
Sorry Acebeam, I would like to enter but I’m just not a fan of your lights either…because of poor UI (I tend to be a fan of BLF UIs) and often poor moddability. Something to improve.
I've been observing Acebeam's lineup for some time now and I must say, it's always top-shelf in terms of quality, driver efficiency and performance.
As to my favourite model, I'm a big fan of the Acebeam E70. Great 21700 EDC flashlight with a interesting take on the UI and very high maximum brightness. I definitely recommend anyone interested in this model to also watch the Lux Wad's review on Youtube, it's really well done.
