BOSS 35 (RETRO) VS. ZEBRALIGHT SC64wHI

Can you chime in and compare these 2, which are often mentioned as the “best EDC light”?

Am I not remembering things correctly?

The SC64 solely uses an 18650 and the Boss 35 an 18350?

Both are nice lights and one is smaller, but with less capacity and cell quality and one is longer, uses higher quality cells, but would have more capacity.

thx…I have the ZL, …wondering if they are a good match to compete against each other and if the Boss is really worth the extra $$$.

If you have to ask if it’s worth the extra money, then it’s probably not the light for you.
As much as I love the P60 format getting a collectable custom host isn’t worth it unless your a collector or really like nice edc bling.

I like Oveready and all they’ve done for the flashlight community, but I’ve had my fill of triple and quad p60 dropins, they get hot fast on turbo since they aren’t connected to the body. Now if they were actually building it into the head (and they might be) then for a collectable yeah they might be worth it for the sexiness of the machining.

Functionally the Zebralight is going to preform well, have similar enough usage and not break the bank. I prefer single emitter lights unless I need a wall of light.

If you don’t own a triple emitter in that size I suggest trying one before you invest in a Boss light.

The more I read up on the Boss, especially the 70, the more I like it. The LUX-RC programming, the form factor, materials, MOFF switch, even the clip….How to find out if they would be building it into the head?

If it’s not in the description, either contact them or find someone that’s bought one recently. If not the other forum, perhaps one of the flashlight discords or Reddit might have answers.
