My Father-in-Law’s father’s day present, the book “Islands of the Damned” by R.V. Burgin, one of the few remaining WWII veterans. The book is Burgin’s account of being in the Pacific in WWII. This is significant to me as R.V. Burgin is my grandfather’s cousin; I already have a personalized signed copy of this book for myself… Check it out if you are interested in WWII history; it’s an interesting perspective on the war…
Congrats and what timing, was just about to put up a post of a dissassembly of mine (unfortunately I ran into an issue w/the LCD wire). It's a great charger that has served me well for years.
Awesome pieces! I do like the simplicty but am just having such a hard time going back to quartz (no, I'm really not a auto/mech-snob but just find the ticking very cold and dull...).
I've been dying to get a Timex again but wanted it to be a simple budget one and specifically gifted from my mom-in-law. In Korean wedding tradition it's typical to give an expensive watch set (Rolex, Omega, etc.) as a gift, but I declined at the time since I was not into watches at the time and really didn't want her shelling out that kind of money. She really is a special woman, making constant sacrifices in her life for those around her and the Timex would be symbolic of how she lived thus I wanted this specific criteria to remind me of that always.
I received the 7G5-V2 Collimator Head yesterday from Hank at IOS
It made the Dereelight look tiny…
I usually take my best throwers out front and aim at a phone tower that
is 200 yards away the only bummer is there are two street lights out front
but they don’t effect these two lights. I was very impressed!!! I shined
The dereelight up there first and it always hits it just with the small beam,
then came the 7G5-V2 MONSTER  it most defiantly lit the tower
up more with a huge beam. If you have the 7G5-V2 it’s a must!!!
Got the gray (brown) Tank007 E09 from Dino today. This is such a nice light for $12 (after 10% off). Came in a tin case with o-rings. Super bright on an Eneloop and buttery smooth threads. 3 modes.
Thanks Tim! It's a very nice charger but it would have been even better if it had all of the C9000 features. I've been conditioning a dozen Tenergy 10k D's so it's been very busy right out of the box.
Is yours more than 3 yrs. old? That's how long, I just read, the warranty is.
BTW, what nimh D batteries do you recommend or prefer to use the most?
