KC1 keychain light is available now

It’s only just occurred to me now that I didn’t necessarily pay any mind to which channel got which LED.

Does it make a difference?
Especially for the Red LED possibly?

Nope! It doesn’t matter one bit. Very nice configs! Enjoy!

Awesome, thank you

Awesome! I hear you on the blue. I use it sparingly and only blast it outside. when both deep red and blue are on, they make a beautiful pink color.

I also have the blue swirls Ti D4V2 in blue W2….and a C8…I think that’s it for blue emitters.

660nm and 2700k will be a nice mix for sure.

Enjoy!!

Yeah, I was really liking the idea of mixing them and making purple ambient light for my bedside table on candle mode.
Instead, I’ll see what kind of pink I can make with the 660nm and 2700k.
Thanks!

I just ordered a Dark Grey DW4 with 219BT-V1, R9080 Neutral White, 4500K emitters. I think it will compliment my Hank light collection nicely.

Do you have a picture of the pink beam?

I was thinking about getting that setup but I don’t know… Regular or copper with SW45.
There’s too much options. I’ve been told that’s it’s better to go with SST-20 because they’re less floody, no extra charge and better CRI.
Is it me or was there a regular D4V2 with illuminated switch? The current listing has the old, black switch.

I believe you can email Hank for the lighted switch. He will give you the secret SKU to enter on the website to pay the extra cost. I already have the SST-20 in 4000k in a DT8, so I wanted something different so I went with the Nichia’s.

Yes email him to get a lighted switch. There’s no extra cost though.

Thanks, good to know. That’s what I get for assuming

Those are perfectly valid reasons. I’d like to see an extended tube w/ USB charger available in addition to the regular tube so that you still get to choose to go without it- Emisars and Noctigons are all about mixing and matching. Personally I’m a fan of built-in charging since no matter how light you’ve packed, there will probably be a phone charger around wherever you are. I’ll still swap a cell for one of the spares I keep in my backpack most of the times, but there are situations I want to be doubly sure I’ll have at least one operational light.

In LuxWad’s review of the dm1.12 ([REVIEW] Noctigon DM1.12 (SBT90.2 Throw, SST20 Flood)), he noted that the model could benefit from a frosted optic option for the flood channel. I thought there was a floody option for the d18. Aren’t these the same optics? Anyone know for sure?

Better yet, sell a charging adapter that threads on BETWEEN the normal tube and the head. It can have a USB port in the threads like K1, or a rubber flap on the side or whatever. That way the people who want integrated charging can buy it as an add-on, and the people that don’t want it get a smaller light. Like this concept:

The Charging Adapter is a great idea.

The thread count on the D4v2 head is simply too small for that.
One more piece causes one more anodizing nuance mismatching, not a good thing at all.

I’ve thought about that concept but figured I’d prefer less threads to seize, get loose from knocks, leak water in etc.

I agree that D4V2/DW4/DT8 do not have enough threads on the front of the body tube for the charging adapter’s port to be in the threads. It would need to be placed either on the face of the charging adapter next to the center positive terminal, or on the outside and covered by a rubber flap.

Thanks for the info.
How do you like it? I’ve read that the high CRI options are nice but underwhelming. People expect a hot rod since it’s a Hank light. Something reasonable is not an option

I believe that he said that they don’t fit.

Same here, I dont think to have 1 more part for charging only is a good idea

The light it puts out is great, very natural. But if you are looking for max lumens, it is lacking there. A couple of weeks ago I got another DT8 with the Osram W2’s. This one is much brighter. I think with the SST’s, the DT8 puts out around 4000 lumens and with the W2’s around 6000.

I have to make a new ring for the Lumen Tube I just got from TexasAce and then I can get real numbers.
