You misinterpreted me a bit. I just contacted the guy and will get samples shipped to me next week. I’m quite slow so it’s probably at least another week or two before any test results. Right now, I don’t have any extra MCPCBs, drivers, or hosts so I need to get those as well.

I’m not sure on closer but the cross does have phosphor which should help.

We should have enough demand in a few weeks so that we can start getting the orders in, especially since fogofwar has the LED and has now gotten an appropriate host for testing an beam profile edge case scenario.
If it came warm (3000K or less) I would be in. This is not my taste….but it’s still amazing that you’re doing it BlueSwordM.

I just want to see the beam profile so we can get this up to Sonic speeeed.
If everything goes well in fact, I might either get a WW white version and give some LED suggestions to a manufacturer or do something a bit different
interested if are available at 1800k~2000k
Anyway, I guess the GB will start anyway, since fogowar hasn’t been able to test the LEDs.
I’ll ask for a CW sample with it soldered to an MCPCB to make for easy testing
