aL1: JohnnyMac: aL1: JohnnyMac:Mind my asking what you paid for it? Our own E1320 would have made a better one along with custom mode programming.
Why would it be better?
The mode is exactly what I wanted-
I paid $40 + $5 for potting-
Better because for $28 you could get up to 3.5A potted and regulated and modes setup any way you wanted. Not saying that nailbender’s stuff is bad, but there are equal and/or better options available for less. If you checked out the link I posted above you would see why your next one shouldn’t be a nailbender.
E1320: RedForest UK:$25 is a very good price for these. These are Nailbender drop-ins in everything but who put them together.
Thanks it costs me $17 bucks for the parts so I am making $5 bucks for an hours work. Once a couple people buy them and see how good of a job I do I think there might be some interest if not oh well it was worth a try and I enjoy making them that’s why I do it.
I should call them Budgetbenders.
I checked the link JohnnyMac; E1320…you’re making copies of the nailbenders, any good?
aL1, there is nothing about a nailbender to “copy”. He uses standard, easily available parts that the rest of use. We all pretty much make the same exact pills he does, I know I do. The driver he uses is the most popular one here we all use. He uses the same pills, the same emitters. I use silver plated copper strand wires with silicone casing on mine. Not sure he does though. Many of us pot our drivers as well just like he does, nothing he invented. Everything in his lights is standard off-the-shelf components. He provides a good service for those who are either unable or don’t know how to solder for themselves. As long as they don’t have a problem paying anywhere from $40-$65 for the service then I don’t have a problem. Hell, I’m envious he is able to get that much for what is essentially $15-$20 in materials and 10 minutes of time.
Erik (E1320) will add or remove AMC7135 chips to the boards to customize their output for the customer. He will even custom program the drivers providing 6 modes from firefly all the way to crazy bright, with or without memory and with no flashy modes. This is something you cannot get from nailbender. If you don’t want that he will set the modes using the Nanjg mode selection stars just like nailbender and the rest of us do. That is what makes his better than a “nailbender” and he does it for $28 with your choice of tint. Many others here do exactly the same on our own personal dropins, adding chips and/or custom programming, we just don’t offer our skills for sale because most of us don’t have the time to take on the extra work. For those that can’t do it themselves, Erik’s work is top-notch, as good as or better than nailbenders, and a steal for what little he charges for his time and labor.

My Father-in-Law’s father’s day present, the book “Islands of the Damned” by R.V. Burgin, one of the few remaining WWII veterans. The book is Burgin’s account of being in the Pacific in WWII. This is significant to me as R.V. Burgin is my grandfather’s cousin; I already have a personalized signed copy of this book for myself… Check it out if you are interested in WWII history; it’s an interesting perspective on the war…

JohnnyMac nailed it .
Thats what she said.
But I agree. :)
Yup JohnnyMac summed it up nicely, thanks.
Just came in: Maha MH-C808M AA - AAA - C - D battery charger.
First thing I couldn't help but notice is this thing is huge [12.63" (L) x 5.25" (W) x 3" (H)]. So now I need to quickly read the manual and start the long process of charging 12 Tenergy 10000mAh batteries.
Congrats and what timing, was just about to put up a post of a dissassembly of mine (unfortunately I ran into an issue w/the LCD wire). It's a great charger that has served me well for years.
Last weekend my lady and I went to the outlet mall where there is a Timex outlet store. I got a couple watches for Father’s day. First is a simple field watch for $24. Excellent little time piece and the Indiglo is amazing. The second is a chrono from their classic collection. Sells for $100-$150 anywhere else. I paid $44. Again with Indiglo but not as bright as the field watch due to the navy face. I used to be into complex do-everything watches with all the wizbang features you could squeeze into it but I’m back to appreciating the simple watches.
Awesome pieces! I do like the simplicty but am just having such a hard time going back to quartz (no, I'm really not a auto/mech-snob but just find the ticking very cold and dull...).
I've been dying to get a Timex again but wanted it to be a simple budget one and specifically gifted from my mom-in-law. In Korean wedding tradition it's typical to give an expensive watch set (Rolex, Omega, etc.) as a gift, but I declined at the time since I was not into watches at the time and really didn't want her shelling out that kind of money. She really is a special woman, making constant sacrifices in her life for those around her and the Timex would be symbolic of how she lived thus I wanted this specific criteria to remind me of that always.
I have received this charger and emergency power supply from an ebay seller today.
It comes with white gen2 eneloops, I am using with eneloop pro (same as eneloop xxx)
It can supply power 500mA from usb out, and can charge 1 or 2 eneloops. That means it charges with two separate channels.
I have opened the case to see inside, and as you can see it has very sophisticated circuit board.
This is the link
Hey, fyesilova
I am interested in this gadget. Can you tell if the one you received is a Genuine sanyo protuct? Both batteries and charger are genuine?
I received the 7G5-V2 Collimator Head yesterday from Hank at IOS
It made the Dereelight look tiny…
I usually take my best throwers out front and aim at a phone tower that
is 200 yards away the only bummer is there are two street lights out front
but they don’t effect these two lights. I was very impressed!!! I shined
The dereelight up there first and it always hits it just with the small beam,
then came the 7G5-V2 MONSTER  it most defiantly lit the tower
up more with a huge beam. If you have the 7G5-V2 it’s a must!!!

Hey Rick does this head fit on any other lights in your collection?
Got the gray (brown) Tank007 E09 from Dino today. This is such a nice light for $12 (after 10% off). Came in a tin case with o-rings. Super bright on an Eneloop and buttery smooth threads. 3 modes.

Thanks Tim! It's a very nice charger but it would have been even better if it had all of the C9000 features. I've been conditioning a dozen Tenergy 10k D's so it's been very busy right out of the box.
Is yours more than 3 yrs. old? That's how long, I just read, the warranty is.
BTW, what nimh D batteries do you recommend or prefer to use the most?
The day just started and I already got something………………wood.

Erik, It sure don’t look like it would but I will look more into that and let you know… The beam is HUGE and alot more useful than the Dereelight.
