Electric Bus Warp-core breach in Paris.

Who needs a “dirty boemb”, when you have electric buses! 
That’s pretty scary Lightbringer. I wonder if they figured out the issue with the bus.
2 of these caught fire in April and the French have suspended operation of 149 of the same model.
[Edit: Found some news reports that they suspect the busses made contact with a bridge which damaged the batteries located in the roof]
Bolloré’s 12-meter (39-foot) long electric buses can transport up to 109 passengers and offers an estimated driving range of up to 320 kilometers (199 miles) from Lithium Metal Polymer (LMP) battery packs totaling 441 kWh of stored energy. On its website, Bluebus describes the batteries as “completely solid, with no liquid components, no nickel and no cobalt.”
Since the Bluebus 5SE is a low-floor bus, the batteries are spread around the roof and rear of the vehicle.
This bus even has a slow mode Ricky and Morty Ramp—sweet!
I would think these incidents will become more frequent with higher adoption rates of EVs.
But at the rate of fire propagation, those exits hopefully are large enough for quick evacuation.
In my parts, the electric mopeds and scooters are more prone to such. Less QC and some shady makes. They’re not fully regulated (like security testing and charging).

Holy Mother of God… you’d think that the bus’s electrical system would have some kind of failsafe to prevent such a runaway kind of fire. It’s remarkable no one was injured, but I can imagine the toxicity of that fire, all of those chemicals spewed into the air. I hope they were able to isolate the cause and take corrective measures in the design to prevent it from happening again.
Funny thing is, there are dozens of other similar vids about e-buses going supernova.
