@Wurkkos
According to the announcement this light will be available in a few hours. Ignore our modding nitpicking details for a moment and at least tell us the CCT. It’s an essential basic detail of a flashlight. Thank you.
the main LED is CSP 6000-6500K and with >90 CRI tint
Can you please tell us the exact product code of the LED?
6500k in a mini 14500 light..no wonder you kept so tightly lipped on crucial details until after product went live. Noted for future Wurkkos interest.
I don’t know if this is sarcasm or not, the LED info has been known for over two weeks over on FB, plus you can always reach out and message Wurrkos directly, they are a dream to deal with. I hope this helps
I am not disappointed that I ordered one even though I really dislike 6000+k. With any luck there will be an mcpcb that will fit the light. To me an electronic tail switch 14500 triple is about the perfect platform. I really do not care what type of LED they use, but I do hope that they make them in a warmer color temp.
I didn’t read it that way. More of a ‘I will keep tabs on this light in case they come out with more CCT options in the future’ kind of thing. That’s my plan as well.
I for one am super excited that another company is building auxiliaries into their lights, and pricing so affordably, and including a battery for only $2 extra. Not only these things, but a triple 14500!!!!
STOKED!!!!
So the LED is a bit of surprise….for $21 its fine with me. I ordered two: orange and ice blue.
Personally I couldn’t pass up a light like this at this price point, the cool white is eh, but I’m wondering if because of the high cri some of the normal “downfalls” of it will be remedied.
Well nuts…I had no idea they would put in this type of emitter. If I had known that I don’t think I would have ordered the light. Figured we’d be using a normal/standard die and footprint. Oh well, at least it was cheap and maybe it’ll be fun or make a good gift. Unless that color temp is exceptionally nice it probably won’t be a keeper for me. Not sure I’m too keen on sourcing some of those emitters to swap but I guess that’s an option.
Pretty radical departure from the norm…would have been nice to have that communicated.
"If it’s this 2323 CSP emitter":http://en.latticepower.com/NewsView.aspx?id=108 , it shares the same footprint as the E21a. I ordered one red and one orange. I also added some E21As to my Clemence group buy. Hopefully the driver plays well with the E21As

I just got a word with Clemence (ERKX), showed him the emitter datasheet and he said it could be a straight Nichia E21A swap. Not 100% sure because i don't have it on hands but soon (hopefully) i'll report back with some mod update.
Man these emitters are skinny! If you’re going to mod, get out your super fine hair tip tweezers. Data sheet isn’t all that encouraging, compared to emitters we are used to using. The reflow characteristics hint at users being able to do it right and do it quickly, and be able to control the temperature decently.
Specs say a total thickness of +/- 0.32mm. That’s including the phosphor. That’s about one half of a B35AM and those are pretty thin! For the SAE among us, that’s about 0.013”, thirteen thou….1/64” is about 0.015”. Looks like the base is something around half the thickness (phosphor being the other half). Sounds easy to damage the edges/surface of these with typical small electronics tweezers. Also seems like a candidate for using a stencil with solder paste…those pads are teeny tiny.
So my house was robbed last week and they took my KR4…I came on here looking to find a reasonable replacement and sure enough, here it is…but it looks like I missed out on the Orange one. Any ETA on a new batch?
I can solder very well, what size are the aux LEDs?

Orange with a battery seems to be in stock still. Orange without a battery is out of stock along with both options with ice blue aux. Even if you don’t need the battery, it’s only 2 bucks.

On their site? I see Orange and Ice Blue as being out of stock no matter which options are selected.
Glad I waited for this info before ordering. I’m more of a 4500-5000K kinda guy.
Thank you for the info!
Still it’s high cri.
AWESOME!!!!!!!
Finally some normal tint model, i am getting fed up with orange/amber/about to die incan tints

Can you please quote the complete LED information you are referring to?

Couldn’t it be the 1919 CSP from the LT1s?
yes, we are planing use 4000K 5000K in following production, CSP emitters now only have some 2700K in stock, we will update on the website

@Wurkkos, is there plans to have 14500/AA compatible version?
Thank you! Looking forward to a review with color and CRI measurements!
Not sure, if it is compatible with AA, it will lose some performance and the output will be less

Any estimate on when those other CCT options will be available? Also Ice Blue and Orange sold out, I shouldn’t have waited lol
