I hope so too! It’s a great product. My guess (hope) is that they were acquired and that result in website changes. But I can’t find anything about it online one way or the other.
If you look at their (Spectrum genius) address details, they are named Asensetek Canada Inc, and interestingly enough, their email is from alliedscientificpro.com.
First time posting here but I’m wondering if anyone would be able to help. I’ve seen some documentation here where some people are using a ColorMunki Photo, some people are using an i1Pro, and some people are using CT&A.
I would like to buy the equipment needed to perform some measurements on various LED light sources I have acquired.
I’ve found the following:
Colormunki Photo is available used for about 150 USD on eBay or so. Seems to work with Argyll CMS and this GitHub which seems to process the files.
i1Pro v1 (can also get a EFI E2000 which appears to be the same thing for 170USD) seems very old and appears to be supported by CT&A, which has a free version but I’m not sure if that is sufficient to generate the reports I see here; unknown if EFI version can be used with CT&A;
i1Pro v2 seems to extend the measurement brightness range of V1. More expensive.
I’m wondering what would be the minimum viable way to acquire these and perhaps an integrating sphere for <500 USD. Bonus if it would work for calibrating monitors as well.
Would anyone have some recommendations for where to start?
The display studio is a colorimeter not a spectrophotometer, it can only measure the CCT/duv.
Once installed (driver and added the PATH enviroment variable) we use spotread ambiant measurement with the i1 Studio/colormunki photo , I’m guessing it’s the same with the colorimeter.
spotread -a -x -s -H i what i run but -s and -H will do nothing with a colorimeter.
