What you got today

Got my Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 Ti with Nichia. And same day my Shockli 1000mAh 14500’s.
Great timing.

My Convoy S21A B35AM R9080 high CRI 4500K arrived yesterday. Happy Fathers Day to me (and you, where applicable).

That’s my new EDC. I like it as much as my M21B GT FC40. I think I figured out why the M21B was so impressive to me. Some of my earlier SST-20 and LH351D purchases (IF25A, SP36 BLF), I guess I won the tint lottery. But later ones, especially my Wurkkos TS21, are just fugly. I was slowly getting used to puke-green and ugly tint-shift.

But I really like my 519A T3, M21B FC40, and I love this S21A.

“Fugly” - I haven’t heard that one in a while!

That orange is a really nice color.

I agree. It leans a bit towards a copper-like color. I like it.

Yeah, it’s a winner, all-around. My first orange Convoy. And the beam is beautiful. I might DC-Fix it later today, but it doesn’t really need it. And it’s bright.

Did you get it with the 5000mAh Liitokala battery included? I’m curious as to what’s the mAh rating on it.

Received 2 Tritium tubes today. My first ever. More on the way in different colors and sizes. Not sure where they are going yet.
Might have to buy another flashlight!

Where did you buy your tritium? I’ve not looked into getting any for the past couple of years as trit vials shot up in cost because of the pandemic supply chain issues. Are prices coming back down?

I got my tritium on AliExpress. 3 different stores. Price range: 3.25 to 5.00 CAD.

I received my LM10 brass Today! It’s got tritium slots!

What type of glue should I use? Crazy glue, Carpenters glue, epoxy, JB Weld?

Norland 61 optical adhesive is the most often recommended and the one I use, however it is also the most expensive. Others have had good results from less expensive optical adhesives. Other adhesives tend to darken or yellow over time.

Yes, Norland 61 is the most recommended one. Put some in the slot, stick in the trit, then shine a UV flashlight onto it until it cures. Or just put it out in the sun for a couple hours.

Some IN4934G-T diodes and Cree XP-E2 660nm Deep Red Emitters for another S2+ Triple build. I’m hoping I can use a diode in series with the emitters to drop 1.2v to stablize the driver. I plan on using thermal epoxy to attach the diode to the inside of the pill to control the heat.

I agree. I’ve used Norland 61 in all of my tritium installations. Very happy with the results. My oldest installation is from 2009. Still looks fine.

Got me a Sofirn SP10pro, really like it so far. The red is different as I get it on picture thou, much more red in real life but my camera makes it flatter and more orange like. I really don’t like the pocket-clip so I swapped it with the clip from a Utorch UT01 for the moment.

Convoy T4 with 519A in 3500K, set up for grandma use from factory : 2 mode only (this is the 13 group driver, but Simon from Convoy pre-configured it). I also asked for the driver that allows to be used with alkaline, NiMh and Lithium primaries (not 14500) as grandma has no use of rechargeable Li batteries that would fry other appliances :smiling_imp:

Last week I received my Fireflylite E07 Brass. Nichia 219B 4000K SW.
HEAVY! I enjoy the higher CRI. I’m new to this. Aux are orange.

I got Imalent MR90 today. Really special flashlight, cover both flood and throw at the same time. Can see clearly both near and far.
I was thinking to get MS12, but I already have a MS18W, so I think MR90 should be able to give more new experience and fun.
MR90 head is bigger than Haikelite HK29.
And MR90 fans are much more quiet than MS18W.

Paid Jesse from Acebeam an extra $45 to get the XHP70.3 6500k for the X75. Might ship in 1-2 weeks was his estimate.

Got my Emisar D1mini pocket thrower. Gray/Blue, beautiful color.

Cyan aux in side switch.

FC-40 R9050 4000K~4500K.

Not dark yet so waiting…

I’m loving it.
