ACEBEAM New E70MINI 3 x Nichia 519A Pocket Light

I honestly don’t care about the double click for on.

But not working with normal flat tops is extremely disappointing.

And the lowest mode being 20 lumens is just ridiculous. For an EDC, a low of TWO lumens would be higher than I want. 20 is just absurd.

They probably got rid of the reverse polarity protection FET and dual sense resistors for space saving, having to use physical RPP (only button) and higher minimum.

Any plan for copper, stainless, and brass?

Perhaps your original analysis is also why they did not even try for a legit moonlight mode. If the best they can do is 7.6% efficiency, why even bother?

E70 MINI other colors or materials is already planned and stay tuned.

Lockout mode and “double click to turn on” design prevents accidental activation. We have been putting users’ security first.

E70 MINI is powered by 18650 battery (Recommended ACEBEAM ARC18650H-310A with PCB and Built-in USBC Port ).

Note: Do not use the batteries without circuit protection. Flat-top battery without protection is designed for industrial applications, not civilian battery and must be treated with cautions and handled with care. Only use quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion.

If you have 18650 battery with PCB and the size length 65MM, it also fits for the E70 MINI.

Acebeam, I love your E70-AL, but do you know anything about batteries?

For a single cell flashlight, an unprotected battery is usually just fine if it's the right size.

Designing a single cell flashlight to only take protected batteries makes very little sense.

Honestly, I'm surprised that I know this and you seem not to.

EDIT:

By the way, I use an unprotected cell in my E70-AL.

The double-click feature is actually very nice. No complex lockout procedure needed :+1:

Hm, yeah, 4 clicks to lockout is super complicated. :stuck_out_tongue:

Indeed. You need to remember the state the light is in or just try, unlock, use, optionally lock.

Not with this light. Double-click, use, click. Done. Always safe.

Double click for on is a deal breaker along with the battery you upcharge 10$ for…

What degree optics are used on this light?

blf users:

> doubleclick is bad, too many clicks
> quadruple is okay

lol

E70MINI utilizes the latest popular Nichia 519A LED Emitters, produced a uniform and smooth spot with no artifacts, capability revealing every detail on objects, equipped with the customized TIR optic lens, can reflect uniform and soft light, is the perfect everyday carry companion.

There’s a spring on the driver, so any battery will do. But there’s the contact for the inner tube around it and therefore a chance that a large contact surface on the battery will connect to it. Seems unlikely but one never knows. I didn’t dare to try it out.

Btw, love this light. Especially the LEDs are really good, very close to bbl.

I am waiting for other colors.

45 ° if I’m not mistaken. Pure flood.

Not finished yet, need an opportunity to use the sparse dark hours for beamshots/doom-walk, but here is at least something:

Does this light use standard optics, or will standard Carlco triple optics fit this light?

I’m wondering if anything could be done to make a narrower, more throwy beam?
