I ordered late in the evening on May 9 (well into May 10 in the seller’s timezone) and received it on the date of the original post, June 8. The tracking number was provided around May 17th, but wasn’t acknowledged by online tracking until May 25.
If I understand correctly, when you place an order on AliExpress, Janny Wen then sets out to obtain the light from the supplier (the seller does not keep stock). My request for no-logo might have added delay, I don’t know. The seller then ships the item and then only after you acknowledge receipt of it, does AliExpress release the funds to the seller. The seller is just as eager as you are, if not more so, for you to receive the item as quickly as possible.
A one month wait is certainly reasonable from these vendors. I was thinking it took on the order of 2+ months which would have been agonizing. Looking forward to getting this by early July.
She’s been emailing me the last couple of days. The only thing that doesn’t seem to be in stock is if it was to be ordered without branding on it. That version is special order only. But I get the impression ordering one branded is in stock.

No, it was not. That’s why I canceled. I can understand the ship wait for overseas, but I don’t wanna hear out of stock. Don’t be advertising if you don’t have it.
If the Group Buy goes through, it looks like it would be a good idea to mention the brass ring and also the grounding issue that Techjunkie pointed out.
As far as the Group Buy discount price of (hopefully) $27 plus $6 shipping vs. the old $33.80 price without a shipping fee - it’s “6 of one vs. half-dozen of the other - so it’s obvious either option would work. Regards
Techjunkie’s “mini-review” is very compelling - and I think we have 3 ready to go for it. If we get another, I’ll practice some of my buying skills on the lady in China. As small as her company is, she may even go for a Group Buy at 5 but you never know. I hope some more people see Techjunkie’s photos and description. Regards!
I’m thinking of cancelling my current order and joining this group buy. I requested an unbranded torch, but who knows how long it will take to source. Plus, I had to pay the extra $6 shipping. Give me a day to mull this one over…
If the language barrier weren’t so apparent with this vendor, I’d ask if they could get some spare drivers from the manufacturer. I would really love to try boosting the output, but don’t want to risk destroying the existing driver without a backup on hand in case I cook the first one. I had another look at it a few nights ago, and wasn’t able to identify any SMD sense resistors to lower the value of.
If at that price, count me in the GB too, but how do it work?

The good news is that we are up to 7 or 8 people for this possible Group Buy.
The bad news is that the seller seems to be “feeling her oats” – having sold what she must feel is the huge number of 7 of these lights. She appears to have gotten greedy and raised the starting price from just over $33, to just over $33 plus $ 6.32 shipping, and now to $38.80 plus $6.32 for shipping! She certainly seems to be getting greedy and I’m not interested at the new price. I would suggest that I hold firm at $33 and change.
She’s off-line now because it’s 2:30am in China but I’ll be contacting her tonight (our time) to see if she’ll come to her senses and agree to no more than $33.80 including shipping.

One has the old (lower) price and the other has the increased price. Not only has that, but the quantity deal that was there the last time I looked at the second site ($27 and change plus shipping for qty 10) seemed to have disappeared. I’m guessing that she’s following our discussions on the BLF, has gotten all excited, and assumes that she can charge whatever she wants. I’d like to set her straight when I chat with her tonight. Would that be OK with everyone?

P.S. I will feel her out about stock status – on the unit with printing and on the so-called special order units without the printing. By the way, I haven’t forgotten about the issue of the brass ring that Richie mentioned and also the grounding issue that Techjunkie pointed out.
By the way, it is not cost-effective to have all the lights shipped to one location and then pay for shipping again to each of us. She did mention “drop-shipping” in her earlier listing. In addition, I do not want to be responsible for your money. The only way this will work is if each buyer pays AliExpress separately and their funds are held in “escrow” until they receive their flashlight.
Sounds like the deal maybe getting sour with the higher price. I’d be interested for the $33 price, even for the extra shipping if it means getting the group buy initiated. I would also hope a group buy to be expedited faster than a single purchase, but that’s anyone’s guess. However, I am not interested at the $38 + shipping price tag.
Count me in for 1 if this does work out. I think we can find a vendor else where that will not be so greedy .
How about some vendors we know and can trust? You guys would likely have more info on some staright shooting vendors
that have established good track record here. I only know 1 vendor via BLF…Ric at CNQ seems to be a very decent person. Can likly source this light and run the logistics of a GB
And i think sending funds to a oversees vendor we dont know and no established sales with BLF members s a mistake. I would much rather send my money to a forum member and pay a few bucks extra…
