Emisar D3AA is available now

The fact that Hank cannot deliver orders to Russia does not mean that China has stopped trading with Russia. Of course there are difficulties, but China has not turned away from Russia.
Are there any new novelties planned at Hank’s, does anyone know?

Yup, D1v2 announced and as Hank said it will be available next week

Thanks

Will B35 be available in D1 or DM1.12?

It will almost definitely be available in D1 because D1 will have the same emitter options we KR1.

It will not be available in DM1.12 because DM1.12’s driver only supports 3V emitters.

Anyone else hoping that a 21700 battery tube gets released for the D4V2, DW4, and the new D1?

I for one for sure is hoping to get one D4V2 in 21700 to power 4 power hungry emitters instead of fata55 D4SV2...

Somebidy on reddit said that Hank told him that boost drivers are taller for 1mm and in current D1 design it is not possible suggesting only 3V options can be done.

I hope 6/12V options will be available too...

A 21700 battery and tube with threads will not fit within the existing space allowed in D4V2’s, DW4’s, DT8’s, and D1’s head. To fir a 21700 battery, the heads would need to be redesigned or the tube would need to be extended necked down at the head end and have a PCB & spring added to take up the extra space, similar to K1’s body tube. I would be happy with either solution but due to their complexity, I doubt either will happen.

A couple months ago I had messaged Hank asking if the new driver would fit in the old D1 / D1s, and he told me they wouldn't bc they're 1mm taller.

im hoping that with the re-release of the D1 he would remedy that In the design, since it seems like a reasonable adjustment to make.

i would surprised actually if the new d1 could not fit the boost driver.

i am WHOLE HEARTEDLY hoping it does bc the only thing I want is a xhp35 HI D1 :))

Yeah, even just a linear + DD D1 would be a nice upgrade over the old 7135+FET drive design.

absolutely! I have updated all of my D1 and D1s with the 7.5amp Linear drivers and they're great. No FET needed, they push osrams, sft40 and xpl-hi really nicely!

The last few batches of the D1 came with the D4V2 driver from Hank directly

just ordered my first emisar light :)

Boost driver upgrade

which battery would you guys recommend? is the 10A drain on NCR18650GA enough?

Yes it’s fine, it’ll draw slightly under 10A max.

I would buy the d1 and d1s again

Man, I had such a hard time letting my D1 go last year. I’d love to see an updated version. I’ve been asking for a D4 sized single emitter light for years.

D1 if offered with a boost driver, 519A 4000-4500k in green is on my list. Hopefully Hank brings back the original Emisar green.

On another note, I have a boost driver D4 with a lighted switch. I noticed that when ramping the switch brightness goes from low to high. In Anduril that used to correspond to cutover points from regulation to FET, but what does it mean on a boost driver?

It does that with linear+fet also.

Right, it signifies when you move out of the regulated section. What does it mean on a boost driver which has no FET?

Linear driver has regulation for whole range also, except turbo. I didn’t mean 7135+fet driver.
