** BLF LT1M-Mini Project - The little Lantern! ( PM's sent today June 21, 2022)**

Got my LT1 Mini yesterday, awesome little lantern!

Where is the picture of the UI for this light, it’s normally in the OP.

Also: how to know if you’re in simple mode or not? And how to toggle it?

I assume it’s the same as the Sofirn LT1 Anduril 2 chart.

To know if you’re in simple mode or not, click 3x from off to do a battery check. If it blinks out the voltage once and then turns off, you’re in the Simple UI. If it continues to blink out the voltage until you click to stop it, then it’s in the Advanced UI.

To toggle from Simple to Advanced, click 10x from off and hold the last click.

To toggle from Advanced back to simple, click 10x from off.

Thanks mate, yep mine shipped in stepped ramping and simple UI

Thanks! I thought with all the little UI revisions there might have been a different chart made, guess I was wrong!

I made a reflector and wider base for my LT1 Mini that attach magnetically. The base stows on top and only adds 1mm of height. Complete kits for sale here if you’re interested. Thanks to Lixivium for the idea to have the base store on top!

Great lantern. I like it as a flashlight. Hope to see it with a bezel, or IF25 pro / blf version, anduril 2, instant tint shift, xp-l hi 2850/5000 or 519A’s.

Is it still time to get on board ?

If so i’m interested in the code.

Thanks.

Let us know as soon as possible when the colored versions of the LT1 Mini is available Barry!

Sofirn has updated LT1 Mini’s driver design to use an ATTiny1616 instead of an ATTiny85. Below to the left is a photo of my early-production review sample, and below to the right is a brand new LT1 Mini someone posted in the comments of my review. New lights use the “blf-lantern-t1616” firmware.

Does anyone know a good way to remove these drivers? I’d like to reflash mine using an SOIC clip but I can’t figure out how to remove the driver.

Interesting… The test unit i have has the Atiny85, and waiting for orders of the production model to arrive to see if its like the one you have.

I don’t believe an Attiny1616 is flashable using a SOIC clip. It’s a different form factor with more pins.

I have the 85 version on the left, not the 1616 version on the right. Unfortunately some users over on Reddit informed me that this driver is difficult to remove and even then it’s hard to get to the MCU, so I’ll probably just solder wires to do the firmware update.

It looks like this might be the new normal for Sofirn, because my new SC31 Pro also seems to be a 1616.

If this is the case, it’s a good thing, because the 1616 is a significantly better chip than the 85!

Hope Barry can give us some information as to why they they went with using that 1616 chip and not the more standard Atiny85 chip.

I believe it’s cheaper to buy despite being more advanced and having twice the flash storage.

I have been away for a while. Just popped in and received the PM with group buy code from the interest list. However, when I try to purchase the code does not show to be valid. Just curious if the group buy period has elapsed? Thanks.

The code should still work, (contact Sofirn or Barry here on BLF.

Question: What’s the sequence to turn off the orange led ?? I can’t read the small print manual.
