Test / Review: Orbtronic IMR18650 2250mAh (Black)

Orbtronic IMR18650 2250mAh (Black)

Official specifications:

  • Bare cell: made by Panasonic-Made in Japan
  • Chemistry: Li-Mn/Li-Ion
  • Type: 18650 IMR Hybrid
  • Dimensions: 18mm x 65mm
  • Capacity: 2250mAh
  • Cell model: CGR18650CH
  • Voltage: 3.7V
  • Recommended full charge: 4.17V - 4.20V
  • Max Discharge Current: 10A (high-drain)

With this battery I included tests up to 10A, where it still has lot of useable capacity. The battery does keep the capacity very well at high loads.

Conclusion

The battery uses a good cell, making it a fairly safe cell, but remember it is unprotected and must not be over discharged. For uses with high current this is a very good battery and it can deliver more capacity at a higher voltage than 3100 mAh cells when working with high currents.

Thanks, HKJ for another stellar review!

After your good review, I wonder if Orbtronic will raise the price on this one too? ;)

Thanks very much! Frontpage'd and Sticky'd.

Price has nothing to do with HKJ review.

Price of Orbtronic 18650 2250mAh Hybrid IMR battery went down considerably “after” HKJ great review.

That is only telling you that review has nothing to do with a price itself.

HKJ great review like always
