How to open Imalent LD70?

My review unit just died while out taking comparison photos for the Cyansky P25 V2. Checked voltage with 3 clicks and immediately hit 4 clicks for lockout and that was that. Battery showed 3.95v and charging shows 0.25A on my meter, but light is completely dead. I suspect a firmware bug since voltage readout stayed onscreen instead of the lockout symbol and then screen shut off. May have done the click combos to close to each other.

This thing looks not so easy to open, I don’t know where to start. Anyone on here know how it comes apart?

If I had to guess, I’d start from the bezel. Unless there is some hidden screw on the body.

Tried to unscrew it and pry it open using razor blades to check if it’s press fit, but no good. I’ve contacted Imalent to see if they’ll replace it since they get extra advertising when I use it in other reviews.

Thanks for the response

Hope you can get it solved :+1:

Based on my experience from Imalent DN70 driver fix | BudgetLightForum.com , I am not sure there is a non-destructive way to open it, Their engineers rally like glue :)

Hmmm, I’ll wait for Imalent to make contact and then I’ll clamp it in a vice and place a piece of wood over the tail and hit it with a hammer. If that bezel is press fit it might be the only way.
