Lght(s) you bought more than 1?

I want do get another Tool AA v2. It’s such a great AA light on nimh. But was thinking… that’s weird getting another exact same light.

Well, "two is one and one is none."

Most flashlights don't have much of a warranty, so if the flashlight breaks and you don't really know how to fix it, you need a backup light.

In my head, I am think TOOL AA v2 is a great light but maybe in a year or two, maybe v3 or another model will be even better.

does it count if they are already in multi-packs?
here is one $6 example:

Definitely the S2+. Sitting currently at 5 different colors with 5 different LEDs. But still want more. I want all the colors

Nitecore Tube. Bought 10 of those, cause was peanuts cheap some day, some shop.
Still have 3 of them, the rest was given away.

KaiDomain had the KD Buckle.

It was a simple 1xAAA twisty flashlight with just on and off for modes.

I bought something like ten or twenty of them, and gave a bunch of them away.

They used to be dirt cheap, and now I don't think they're available anymore.

I have had 21 different S2+ (8 currently in use).

Guaranteed the S2+ is the most sold light. Get them when they are under $10.

Sofirn C01  I guess I have 4 from the first batch!

I probably bought, sold, gifted about a dozen of the Zanflare F1’s.

When I want to check out a certain led, I buy that led and at the same time order an S2(+ ) or an C8 host or light. That way I don’t have to worry about other things because I’ve got an abundance of spare parts. At the moment I have four S2(+ )’s and four C8’s (black, grey, silver, yellow), mostly equiped with (ultra)violet led’s.
The only light I ordered double was the Yootoo SD2, because driver and switch were so different from my other lights that I knew in order to proceed I needed an extra copy in case I broke certain parts. But things went well: the potential donor light was never used.

I’m happy with my Convoys. The S2(+ ) is a very forgiving light, you can experiment all you like. The ano is excellent, all my lights still can be locked out with a ½ turn of the tailcap. The ano on the lighter C8’s is a bit less, but the light has a very nice feel when holding it. I miss that in the C8+.
If Simon ever launches a classic C8 with MAO coating I’ll buy one even without knowing what to do with it.

I often buy multiples of the same light.

Usually because I intend on modding it and I want backups in case the mod fails.

Some examples:
FW3A
FWAA
TS10
SP10 Pro

I bought two Fenix E16 before they were discontinued. Extremely compact, basically a keychain 16340 / CR123A light. Surprisingly good beam profile and the usual Fenix quality. I’m not aware of a smaller currently-in-production 16340 light.

Yes, 2 DT8s with XP-L Hi 4000k.

I have several DT8s, but only 2 wity the same emitters.

DT8 with XP-L Hi 4000k is a sweet little beast.

I have 6. Then I bought 6 C01Ss. They’re great emergency lights, and I don’t regret it since the C01 is no longer available.

Occasionally, a new emitter I want to try will become available in a model of light I already own (S2+, S21A), and I’ll get another just to try the new LED. But, generally interesting things come along every once in a while that kinda take the shine off the old stuff. Right now, I like my B35AM and GTFC40 so much, I’m really glad I didn’t buy any more puke-green SST-20 lights than I did just because they were all the rage at the time.

Cyansky M3

I pretty much have multiples of most of my AAA or “Keychain” lights because they were on sale/special/ bogo/ free with shipping charge, available in multi colors, or just plain cheap (Thrunite Ti3 V2, Sofirn C01, C01S, OLIGHT i3EOS, I1R EOS, Lumintop IYP07, Wurkkos WK01/02), and a few of those are discontinued. The only 18650 light I doubled up on was Sofirn SC31PRO 5000k with Anduril 1 (primarily because I wanted one in 18350 config, and An-1 is the shizz). I have two Sofirn IF22A, one black, one silver. Great lights. All the rest are lone rangers (so far).

C8, Jet-1 MK, MD2, every Barbolight I could find/afford

I'm pretty sure the S2+ is the most multi-owned flashlight.
