DARKFADE Flashlight Review (CHANGED MY LIFE!!!)

My life was so difficult before this flashlight was gifted to me from the heavens above. I was working a 9-5 and was broke…That was until one day I woke up in the middle of the night for a trip to the toilet, but little did I know, this was no ordinary trip. As I opened my bedroom door and stepped outside onto the cold hard floor (with slippers on of course) I was greeted by a dim light shining from afar. At first I was scared as I hadn’t seen anything as such before. I knew I kept all my lights off at night. I thought it might some sort of spirit or something…but as I got closer, step by step I realised, it was something different. I picked up this unidentified object and saw the word “DARKFADE” written on it. This word perfectly described the exact moment I had experienced 20 seconds beforehand. After thoroughly examining this mysterious device I had come to the conclusion that it was a flashlight. At first I thought to myself “Why would I need another flashlight? I already have 156”. It wasn’t until I was on the way back to my room that I realised this wasn’t an ordinary flashlight, It was something different! I tried to turn it off but there was no button. Moments later I heard a voice in my head saying “twist the light counter clockwise”. The moment I did this the light magically went out. I was in awe. Suddenly, it felt like a void in my life had been filled. From now on I would save 10-20 seconds each day turning my flashlight on/off. This led me to be more productive and eventually surpass Elon Musk in wealth to become the world’s first trillionaire! I couldn’t recommend this any more. This light could probably end world hunger. Just buy it!!!

- Last shot: you and your flashlight walking away into the sunset.

If you think thats impressive, try bringing a UranusFire flashlight into the bathroom the next time you need to cop a squat. You’ll be singing 2 octaves higher and it will become your new best friend.

not correct, the DarkFade does have a button, and just like Anduril, you have to hold it, (plus rotate the DarkFade light), to change brightness. If you dont hold the button, no amount of rotating will make any difference.

however, the light is not shipping until next April. it was just posted by a guy that likes to post Kickstarter links… he has been doing it for years…

fwiw, over 1000 people have pledged $192 each (none of whom are on BLF afaict), so the kickstarter has been funded and the light will be produced.

fwiw LH351D is not for me, but over 1000 people (who dont know any better), buy the hype…

Kickstarter has funded several lights successfully, including the Prometheus Beta with almost 2000 backers, and is still in production.

And the Firefly 2.0, which was a single run with less than 200 backers.

So, dont wait to exhale… the DarkFade is coming, Next Year…

“”Read this”:Light Harmonic (LH Labs). Scam? USD$6 million not delivered since 2014 - General Forum - Audiophile Style, one that I got screwed on… but there have been many, many other crowd funding campaigns where people lost their all of their investment…

Maybe “is coming” above should be replaced with MIGHT be coming…

> I got screwed

sorry to hear,

I clicked, but it was not about kickstarter, was it?
or, can you quote the relevant part?

afaik, kickstarter does not cause people to lose their money…
sometimes they dont achieve the minimum goal, and the project gets cancelled, but backers dont lose their money… afaik

did you lose money on a kickstarter?

Scroll to the top of the page. The headline is:

“Light Harmonic (LH Labs). Scam? USD$6 million not delivered since 2014”

LH Labs/Light Harmonic had both Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns. I lost around $2500. Overall they screwed people out of something on the order of$5 to $6 million dollars. They, too, promised innovative products and “Patent Pending” designs. The principal designer (Larry Ho) was even known as a respected designer.

AFAIK, none of the crowdfunding platforms guarantees anything.

Anyway, it was enough for me to swear off of crowdfunding campaigns (scams?) forevermore. So forgive me for being skeptical but this Darkfade thing does not even have a finalized design.

My advice is, “Buyer Beware” Yes, caveat emptor!

sorry you lost money

is this the kickstarter you mean:

or can you provide a more specific link to the Kickstarter campaign that you lost money on?

as far as Darkfade, its just a kickstarter, no one has lost money. Though I myself am not interested in kickstarters, for many other reasons.

I will wait for the reviews… next year, lol

That was their first campaign. I am pretty sure they never completed orders for that item. But they expanded their line to many other things, and went to Indiegogo.
It went downhill from there….
See here:
Most of which was never delivered. They went out of business disappearing with the money and terminating support.
But we digress…
Back to Darkfade… Time will tell whether they fade into the dark without delivering a viable product. What do they say? “you pay your money and you take your chances”.
Do note, that money you give the campaign is not for buying a product. It is an investment for which they promise a reward for making it (perk).

If they don’t finish their product they are not forced to refund the money. You don’t buy a product, you are just supporting the creators and hopefully get a finished product for your money.

AMEN… I added this in an edit to my last note…

wow, did not know that

thanks
DarkFade Changed my Life! lol

The point of kickstarter is to make convincing videos about stupid products that people will somehow pay millions for, and in the end the people don’t even get the product.

:+1:

It’s called DarkFade because the company will fade away into the darkness after they have collected enough money from suckers optimistic investors.
