Great idea, it’s only a matter of time I fear. The combination of black color & strobe clearly puts many of our flashlights into the assault, scary & lethal category.
And should a person add a lanyard the assault flashlight could be swung & used as a deadly striking instrument.
Think of all the innocents & children that would be saved. 
After one of the last Mass Shootings an old man in the health club asked, what’s with this Tactical Clothing the shooter had on. One of the guys in the club ( A former Police Chief and has a self defense school ) said it’s just clothes — The old man said people shouldn’t be allowed to buy that kind of stuff

I have a few Cold Steel knives, machetes, a tomahawk or two and maybe a spear. I like their products, but their advertising would provide a prosecutor a ton of material to use against you if you used one of their products for self-defense.

Just received mine yesterday and it’s nothing special as expected. Unfortunately I jumped early and paid the $6.99 price. I originally thought it might be a good light to toss in the car for general use and not be upset if it was lost or damaged, but I think the protruding strobe button might be too easy to unintentionally activate. It’ll probably just end up being a *fire battery holder in the garage instead.

Mine has an issue and it is a battery killer. The first cell I figured was due to it be a cheapo cell. After the second I decided not to use it any longer. I assume the circuit with the solar panel is missing a diode and when the panel isn’t charging its pulling off the cell… but I don’t know that for sure and I haven’t done any testing

Got mine today as well. Kind of big for a basic 18650 light. Beam pattern is on the throwy side. Not a whole lot of difference between hi and low mode. I was surprised to find a USB charging port on it - the description didn’t mention it. Alas, on mine it doesn’t work.
Finally, pictures on Amazon show magnetic tail - mine doesn’t have it. I’ll probably just send it back.
