My Maha C9000 has died after about 10 years and I’m looking for something to replace it with that does lithium 18650s and AAA-D cell NiMH, 2 or 4 chanel
Vapcell S4+. Best charger ever in the $40 price range.
1 for the Vapcell S4 being a solid choice. I got a Nitecore UMS2 to modify for 26800 cells and discovered it didn’t even come with a power adapter. The S4+ comes with a substantial power brick that lets it deliver a full 3 amps to each slot simultaneously. Maybe you won’t typically need that, but I appreciate the capability. My UMS2 can only hit max output on 1 slot at a time so two cells charge more slowly than one.

Some Nitecore UMS2 chargers come with a quick charge cable.
According to HKJ, the UMS2 will charge both channels simultaneously at 3A if you use a quick charge cable.
I bought it brand new from Nitecore’s 1st party website and I got a short micro-usb cable and no power adapter. And this is from the product page:
Quote:
Introducing the NITECORE UMS2 Intelligent USB dual-slot charger designed to recharge your batteries fast, safe and efficiently. The UMS2 will reach a maximum total output of 4000mA when using a 2A output USB power adapter. When the charger is powered or connected to quick charge (QC) power adapter, the screen will show “Quick Charge” and the single slot will achieve a max output of 3000mA.
You have to provide the USB wall adapter yourself.
I recently bought a vapecell S4+ for a friend and it doesn’t do D cells despite it being written in some of the literature that it does, I’ll confirm today by taking one to my friends and checking though.
That’s so weird. I literally just ordered that charger (Vapcell) from Neal with my new FF5-GT. I wanted a charger to bring with me on trips and I’m looking forward to charging cells at 3 Amps instead of 1
I plan to get several Nitecore UMS2 chargers the next time AE has a sale.
They accept protected 21700 cells, and they charge large cells (like 18650 or 21700 cells) pretty quickly.

I did see those, I’ll have to buy a Qualcomm QC 3 18w charger for it as well but it’s one I’m considering.

Where's the best inexpensive place to get a Vapcell S4 Plus?
I can't find it on AE.
EDIT:
Nevermind.
I did a Google Shopping search and found some sources.

Based on this thread and some more research I did, I've changed my mind and I think I will order a couple of Vapcell S4 Plus chargers from here:
https://www.sofirnlight.com/products/vapcell-s4-smart-chargers-with-4-slots-max-3a-per-slot-for-10440-14500-16340-18650-21700-and-26650-batteries
It'll come directly from China, but I'm not in a hurry.
...
And I placed the order!
Each charger was less than $31 shipped.
(I hope that's a great deal.)

I’m using a Enova GYRFALCON ALL-88 and it’s awesome. It has all kinds of advanced settings but I’ve always just stuck the batteries in. 8 bays
My old Nitecore i8 lost the 2nd channel, and I’m pretty sure whatever is on the direct opposite side from it as well.
Loving my MC3000 though.
Thanks for the replies.
