First thing I couldn't help but notice is this thing is huge [12.63" (L) x 5.25" (W) x 3" (H)]. So now I need to quickly read the manual and start the long process of charging 12 Tenergy 10000mAh batteries.
Congrats and what timing, was just about to put up a post of a dissassembly of mine (unfortunately I ran into an issue w/the LCD wire). It's a great charger that has served me well for years.

Last weekend my lady and I went to the outlet mall where there is a Timex outlet store. I got a couple watches for Father's day. First is a simple field watch for $24. Excellent little time piece and the Indiglo is amazing. The second is a chrono from their classic collection. Sells for $100-$150 anywhere else. I paid $44. Again with Indiglo but not as bright as the field watch due to the navy face. I used to be into complex do-everything watches with all the wizbang features you could squeeze into it but I'm back to appreciating the simple watches.
Awesome pieces! I do like the simplicty but am just having such a hard time going back to quartz (no, I'm really not a auto/mech-snob but just find the ticking very cold and dull...).
I've been dying to get a Timex again but wanted it to be a simple budget one and specifically gifted from my mom-in-law. In Korean wedding tradition it's typical to give an expensive watch set (Rolex, Omega, etc.) as a gift, but I declined at the time since I was not into watches at the time and really didn't want her shelling out that kind of money. She really is a special woman, making constant sacrifices in her life for those around her and the Timex would be symbolic of how she lived thus I wanted this specific criteria to remind me of that always.
I received the 7G5-V2 Collimator Head yesterday from Hank at IOS
It made the Dereelight look tiny…
I usually take my best throwers out front and aim at a phone tower that
is 200 yards away the only bummer is there are two street lights out front
but they don’t effect these two lights. I was very impressed!!!!! I shined
The dereelight up there first and it always hits it just with the small beam,
then came the 7G5-V2 MONSTER  it most defiantly lit the tower
up more with a huge beam. If you have the 7G5-V2 it’s a must!!!

Hey Rick does this head fit on any other lights in your collection?

I am already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
Got the gray (brown) Tank007 E09 from Dino today. This is such a nice light for $12 (after 10% off). Came in a tin case with o-rings. Super bright on an Eneloop and buttery smooth threads. 3 modes.

Thanks Tim! It's a very nice charger but it would have been even better if it had all of the C9000 features. I've been conditioning a dozen Tenergy 10k D's so it's been very busy right out of the box.
Is yours more than 3 yrs. old? That's how long, I just read, the warranty is.
BTW, what nimh D batteries do you recommend or prefer to use the most?

Erik, It sure don’t look like it would but I will look more into that and let you know… The beam is HUGE and alot more useful than the Dereelight.

Erik,
nothing that I have will work, only the 7G5-V2… sorry man.
I have a 501a currently equipped with a low-voltage driver/XP-G R5 combo setup to use CR123a cells for long shelf life. I'll be using this mount to install the rig on my 995 Carbine for night-use.

It sounds like the XM LEDs won’t really be suitable for flashlight use. Pity…
Yesterday I received a Trustfire Mini-01 from easylightbuy.com. Quite pleased with the light. Very bright on high, and very useful on low with not much heat in continious use. A bit difficult though to handle with one hand due to the non aggressive knurling. Nice finish though without blemishes.
I excpected to also receive a replacement reflector for my previously ordered HD2010 from same company, but did instead receive a replacement glass lens. Hopefully they will correct the wrong shipment soon. Quite ok shipping time and polite and nice customer service. Ordered 7th of june, and received 18th, with cn post. Previous delivery was quicker though with HK post. I have been spoiled lately with shipment times from China when I ordered from both Excuct and now Easylightbuy. Cant compare to DX. Last order from them I had to wait 2 months…

Yes, if they ever upgrade the C808M to have the same features as the C9000, it would totally kick @$$. Mine is about 3.5 yrs old so sadly just outside of warranty period. I had purchased it along with AccuEvolution 10000mAh LSD D-cells. These have been absolutely fantastic and while I've never conducted any discharge tests, they are used in my power tie rack and charged maybe once a year. They are now serving duty in a Rayovac 3D lantern as I just picked up 4 Tenergy Centura 8000 mAh LSD D-cells since I've read good things about them. I'll let you know how they hold up in the long run but for the price, I think they're pretty good value. The AccuEvolutions are very pricey.
Thats what she said.
But I agree.
Yup JohnnyMac summed it up nicely, thanks.

You could scrape the phosphor off of an LED to have a bat shape , put an aspheric lens in there ...
What I do
It’s not flashlight related but I received a battery powered ear and nose hair trimmer. I’ll be ready for GQ soon I guess
Got a Sipik SK98 today. I hope I don’t regret it.
I just received the off-center light-mount for a firearm from Manafont: http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/uncentered-25mm-flashlightlaser-mount-for-firearm-t2008-p-10166
It's a well-built accessory, and it fits the 501a host perfectly!
