yeah thats exactly what i want, a 2700k flashlight, thanks for finding this to me

Merci beaucoup l’ami

I hope you will do a quick review when you receive it.

hey guys just a little update (im puglife, i just forgot my email and passw for this forum), i finally took a fenix rc40, i know its not warm but it does the job when i walk my dog in the woods  thx for the advice :+1:

Holy thread revival Batman!

Indeed, in honour of the thread revival i will give some sage if silly advice on a suitable flashlight

13 lumens, 80W of heat (hence warm) and 1000K (a very warm tint)

Well i thought maybe you guys wanted some updates

Here’s my >final< update! I finally found one, after almost 5 years!

it’s the Sofirn SF36W (1x18650 Cree XPL 3000K 1000lm)

I ordered one yesterday

i also have a nichia 219c SX30A4 but it’s more neutral white…

Solid choice. The SF36W is surprisingly well-made, in my opinion. For the price, it is money well spent.

[don’t mind me i’m just giving an update since it’s on the first page on google when you search for a warm flashlight]

i’ve found the perfect warm light  , the KDIY K5S (3000k) it’s really warm and i like it i bought it here keep in mind it use a 26650 battery, i also have the Convoy L6 3000k i like too it but it take 2x 26650

Any Convoy with 7A emitter choice could be considered as the best warm flashlight right now.

That L6 is a cracker of a lamp too.
But a leetle on the powerful side for walkabout in the woods I’d think.
I tend to use a no name XM-L2 4000, dual 18650 battery head lamp,
with either a C8T or a S41 Quad Nichia C for carrying.
They cover both Open or wooded areas.

Good. Cheap combinations of spread and throw in sensible walking distances.

Well, not like any daylight I’ve ever seen, other than the Biscuit Fire which almost burnt to the blueline (surf) and I don’t like the reminder.

If you're into modding flashlights and like XM-L2 emitters, this T3 7A3 CRI90+ is amazing. Had the pleasure to test it in a headlamp I modded for a friend. Rosy tint, and quite spot on versus incandescent bulbs. Super recommended.

Cheers ^:)

Just another final update, it only took 10 years but now i have a few nice warm lights  Convoy M3-C, Convoy L6 with GT FC40 1800K and Emisar D1 with 2700K 519A dedomed, in comparison my 3000k sofirn sf36w and KDIY K5S look so cold now (ew) :confounded: , i’m hoping for a 1600K light in a few years

BEAMSHOTS!!!

Convoy M3-C

Convoy L6

Emisar D1

Would 200k make much of a difference visually?

I recently got a 2700k light and absolutely love how warm it is using it at night. Although I do prefer 4000k/5000k during daylight hours when I need a light indoors.

I’ve found the 2700k warm light helps with preserving my night vision while providing better visability than using a red light.

Just got a Convoy M21e with a GT FC40 1800k. This will not be my first and last 1800k light. It’s so soothing to look at whatever I light up.
I echo what puglife2 said about a 1600k tint. Who knows, I might even enjoy a tint even lower than that.

I see a difference between my E17A 1850K and E21A 2000K even if it’s just 150K !!

Nice pictures, especially the one with the contrasting night sky :+1: .

Ah, okay, cool. I wasnt sure how noticable small diferences in Kelvin are.
I know it takes a lot more lumens to make a visually noticable difference in brightness.
