Sofirn SP10 Pro (AA/14500/Andúril 2) - now available!

Have anyone done a runtime on moon mode ?

Just curious how long it last

Parametrek or Bob_McBob could make a synthetic runtime test…

This forum rocks.
Lost my Convoy AA and it took less than 5 minutes reading to decide on buying the SP10.

Thanks for all the info!

What’s everyone using for a 14500 cell with the SP10 Pro?

Protected or Non?

It’s a long thread to read through everything. I figure I’ll ask.

The unprotected one from Sofirn.

Anything in the U.S.?

I have a Sofirn headlamp with 14500 & charger. Will the charger charge any 14500 or any size cell?

There’s not much space in the battery tube. None of my 14500 fits. They’re all protected, Olight, Klarus, and Wuben. So I’m stuck with Eneloops. Could be worse.

Will the Vapecell fit the tube?

I have a local Vape shop that sells Vapecell.

You could be stuck using alkaline.

Yes I use them. Make sure you get the button tops though (unprotected). I think the positive side requires it since there is no spring if i recall.

^This^
There are two raised pads on either side of the driver’s positive contact to prevent reverse polarity issues if the cell is installed backwards, thus flat top cells won’t work. I’m running a Keeppower P1450C2 protected 1000mAh 4A cell in mine. It’s a little long (51.5 mm), but no problem. Have Vapcell Gold 3A button tops as well (50.5 mm). Great cells and run them in a few of my lights.

I was looking at the Keeppower 14500 for the Lumintop Tool AA.

Do you know if the Keeppower will fit the Tool AA?

Sure does. As a matter of fact, that’s what I run in my Tool as well.

vapcell should fit since its unprotected, the H10 is the best 14500 cell. Dont have the light so cant test but i asume its same as with fw3a lights, most protected too long…

Thanks for all the replies everyone, appreciate it!

What’s everyone using for a charger?

Its been years since I bought anything flashlight related.

What’s is the difference between SP10 Pro version 1 and version 2?

I seen it mentioned somewhere but I can’t find it now.

EDIT

Found the article I was looking for. It was on a different forum.

Does the battery check function work with AA cells or only with lithium ion?

It reads nimh AA voltage. The range is only a few tenths though on cells like that

If you found the difference between versions would you be so king to shortly describe it please?
