Icon Rogue 2 as 14500 x 2 host?

title says it all. Pissed a Rayovac Fusion killed this oldy but goody with corrosion to switch spring in tail. LED still good, but I have never done a build and the hollowed out body in anodized green is dear to me aesthetically. But not to the point of wasting time and money. Does anyone know how hard you can push the original LED (not sure which model that is, wanna say Cree, but dunno) called out at 100 or 130 lumens in high and ten in low. I liked it.

Switch cover is dead by the way; is there a source for those. sorry if that’s an often asked ?.

btw, is there an online guide to standard thread sizing in these sizes. Does anyone use larger hosts with a sleeve for AA format?

Sorry your light got corroded

I can sell you a working Icon 1, for $25 w free shipping in USA, and you can use it for parts to fix your green light if you like. PM me for my paypal if interested.

I recommend AA Eneloops, as they are less likely to leak and corrode in your light.

thanks. will decline offer for now as any $ invested short term would be to increase my build/solder skills, possibly play with colors temp, or run this one hot. Since you have similar light, kindly share any info regarding the voltage regulation or led if you have it. thanks

The light is stock, I dont have more info.

Good luck with your modding adventures…

Hi Mnr3. This thread links to another one that discusses using a 14500 in the Rogue 1, but I have a feeling 2 14500s would fry the Rogue 2.

Hi Jon. That Rogue 1 looks familiar. :) Thanks for taking good care of it!

Thanks, it makes a great carrot grater… LOL
