Replacement for the discontinued sofirn C01S

Hi all,

I bought several Sofirn AA C01S in the past, all offered as gifts to friends and family.

I'd like to buy more, but it is discontinued by all usual sellers, except in desert tan color which I don't like.

Any suggestion for a similar AAA light: same size or even smaller (sound difficult), lightweight, two modes with Low-High sequence?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

The Skilhunt E3A, also a twisty, is 11mm shorter. Single mode only, unfortunately (100lumen). Comes in a few colours. It replaced the C01S on my keychain, but I still like the C01S.

The Wurkkos WK01 is a nicely priced light with the SST-20 that the C01S uses, but it’s a clicky with 3 modes…

Thanks darosk, the Skilhunt E3A is indeed an extremely light (< 8g) and compact little light. As you can see in my signature I have one (and offered several to relatives), whose beam I have improved as explained in https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/62837/122

Too bad it is only single mode, not good for night-adapted vision.

Fenix E01 V2.

Very nice, which size pebbled tir did of the 30 degree shamian did you get, specifically? Do you mind posting the link?

Here you are: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1539156477.html

When I ordered them (January 2021) the plastic stand - which you don't need - was included, now you can order the optic without it. They are so cheap (much cheaper than the shipping fee) that I suggest you order several versions at the same time (you need to send a note to the seller for this as far as I remember), so that you can compare them.

Once you have tried it, let us know what you think, thanks in advance.

Interesting indeed: only marginally less compact than the Skilhunt, still very light (13g), and three modes.

Mode sequence seems to be Low - Med - High, does it always start on Low?

Unfortunately, only cool white available, which is the case for most Fenix products

Yes it does, no mode memory.

Thanks, I think I’ll do that, try a sampler pack.
