Here’s my Wurkkos WK20 mounted to a Ride1Up LMTD ebike, and a pic from this evening’s ride on the nearby multi use path.

Personally most push bike riders I see round here at night. Seem to have a complete disregard for other road users and people. Very poor showing.

On a car you legally have to have dip lights so as not blind oncoming people and traffic. Dorks on push bikes seem not to care and think they are above this and that it is fine to shine very lumens right at people. And worse they sometime use a disorienting strobe. Which has to be last thing you want to do at a car coming towards you.

I like push bikes. But it seems a great many of riders remove their brains when they prep and ride them.

I bought two Fenix ALB-10 flashlight mounts for my bicycle, but I’ve been in analysis paralysis trying to figure out which Convoy lights to order. The product website indicates: “Fits flashlights with diameter of 18mm – 26mm (0.7 to 1 inch)”. OK, so that narrows the list down, a bit. I also assume that most any S2+ style would fit the mount, but I want to go bigger, so I focused my search to the 21700 formfactor only. Convoy nicely lists measurements on the product page, so I scraped what I could. All options exceed the Fenix mount’s max dia spec, but only slightly, so I have hope I could make any of them work. Thoughts?

Quad emitter
S21D dia is 27.2mm and available stock with a flat optic

Triple emitter
S12 dia is 27.4mm

Single emitter
S16 dia is 27.4mm
S21A dia is 26.6mm
S21B dia is 27.2mm
M21A dia is 27.3mm
M21B dia is 27.1mm
L21B dia is 26.1mm

Attempting to build a Convoy of Convoys.

There is a reason why there are bike headlights made—so that you get a useful beam pattern that’s also considerate of anyone oncoming. Of course if in the woods, that doesn’t really matter. In my area, there are a lot of push bikes zipping around at night, making deliveries. And most of the time they’re using general cylindrical hi lumens LED flashlights that pump out lots of glare. It’s very distracting. I wonder if anyone makes a kind of flexible “hood” attachment you can affix to the front of a general tubular flashlight.

My night time commute is not terribly long, but between now and mid March? I’ll need a light either in the morning or evening (or both). With as many other lights as I’ve bought, the bike light has remained the same for several years. And it’s not exactly ideal, but it works reasonably well.
TN4A “modded” by putting a clear grate over the lens to spread the beam sideways. I guess it is called diffuser a lens.

I can ride for a couple weeks (or more?) between charges, depending on my schedule. I run at only 100 lumens generally, as I’m on the street and am in the “be seen” as opposed to really lighting up the road. I’ve toyed with getting the lumintop B01, but haven’t ever pulled the trigger.
